While in DC we were delighted to stay here. The front desk staff couldn't do enough to accommodate us even though we arrived early. For the couple of rooms which we're ready they made every effort to have them ready as soon as possible. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the cleaning staff was terrific.

Love how convenient this hotel is to the Verizon center, few blocks to walk to the White House and most important always felt safe in this neighborhood. Maybe it's because the street behind this hotel is the FBI!

Having the option for a fantastic full breakfast every day was a nice part of our package. Oh and of course having a brew house restaurant on the first level was very nice too. A nice job was done when converting this old bank into a hotel. One down side, don't expect a big pool. It's a pool but not for much more than relaxing in. I will definitely be sure to highly consider staying here again.

I was surprised and delighted with the unexpected feeling of relief when staying at the Courtyard Marriott Washington Convention Center (do something about the name, please!). First, the location was perfect, right across from the Portrait Gallery and a block away from the metro. I arrived early and the staff was helpful in getting a room ready quickly. From this point on, all the staff were uncommonly friendly and professional. And the room was really nice, which is always a treat for the weary traveler. Breakfast is a bit goofy with a coffee bar plus as its offering, so while food was good, the atmosphere didn't seem to match with the rest of the hotel. This is a sure winner.

Our room was spacious and had everything we wanted except a small refrigerator. Wondering why so many hotels in the US don't have them. Great location, easy walking distance to the Mall and several museums. Nice staff and an extremely helpful concierge who helped with advice and a tour booking. The building was previously a bank and there is evidence of the historic past in some areas - we had a random column in the middle of the room. (no problems with it though!). There is a great bar and restaurant downstairs and a Shake Shack opposite which is convenient for late night eats!

Put on your comfortable walking shoes and get going. 2 short blocks to the subway, lots of great restaurants in walking distance, 5 short Blocks to the Police memorial and lots of fun stores. Very close to Ford's Theatre. Rooms are a standard affair, breakfast was good and a great area to relax downstairs if you have to wait for a plane,

Room Tip: The elevators work great and we were on the second highest floor and never had to wait.

Quite a few surprising disappointments. When we arrived (at 2:30pm) I tipped the valet quite well yet 3 hours later there is my car STILL in front of the hotel, with cars & buses zooming buy. The room looked nice until I opened the draws. SEVERAL HAIRS (YUCK!) Also, 2 in shower. The room phone also had a loose connection & would disconnect calls.
Now on the good side. The bed was clean & very comfortable. 99% of the employees couldn't have been nicer. Also, it's very close to EVERYTHING!
