The home and its contents are beautifully preserved. The ranger gave a decent tour and context of Mr. Douglas' life, however, I would encourage visitors to read at least a juvenile non-fiction book before visiting. He accomplished so much more than the ranger could cover during the tour. The mention of his life's focus on education (gaining and sharing) was barely discussed.
