“The Beautiful Memories of Hillwood Museum & Gardens”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

What a delightful visit to a lovely garden spot and luxurious museum ! The beauty is overwhelming and invites moments of interesting study. I will definitely recommend this site to my friends and family. The staff was polite, helpful and gracious. It was an amazing surprise to our trip to the East. The museum is meticulous and fantastic. Lunch was next at the charming cafe and we enjoyed great food at a reasonable price. Following were the walkway filled with gardens, trees and green grass. The Japanese garden was enjoyable. The Russian Yurt had an amazing exhibit of treasures from Catherine the 1st. The next week, a Cartier display would be shown. We had gorgeous weather and could have spent more time just strolling endlessly through this garden and mansion creating many beautiful memories.

Reviewed 11 June 2014

The informational sheet said to plan on three hours and they were right. The day was simply beautiful. The grounds were amazing, the gardens were lush and stunning and the buildings were delightful. Our visit provided an enjoyably relaxing day. I can't wait to take others to visit this beautiful museum and gardens.

“Wonderful surprise!”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

What a fun day! We walked from the subway through a gorgeous neighborhood. It was drizzling during our visit, but it did not dampen our spirits. The gardens and house are fantastic! The guides are volunteers, and they do a fantastic job. We spent several house here. Had the weather been better, we could have wandered the gardens even longer. The gift shop is very nice with a good selection.

“Love orchids? Love China?”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

The estate is somewhat small and tucked away, but I loved it. Her china services are displayed in an old school fashion, built into wall niches and some of her outfits were also displayed by glassed in closets. The orchids she loved to raise are still growing on the property and may be toured as well. I loved it all! MMP was a remarkable woman.
