If you are going to visit DC and want to see all the major landmarks then this is definitely the tour to do it with. The guide gave great information at each stop and we got ample time at the Lincoln memorial to go up and take photos. Bonus part of the trip was when we go to see the President arrive home at the White House! Couldn't recommend this tour highly enough.

The government shutdown did not hinder this tour at all. Rick was our guide and he did a fantastic job of getting us as close as possible to all the sights. We could not go in, but we saw more than we ever could have on our own/ walking. Segways are the perfect way to get around to all we wanted to see. It was actually the only thing that we had planned to do in DC that we were able to do. It was Avery enjoyable and memorable experience for all of us, three generations and everyone was having a great time.

It was raining, it was cold, but we had the best tour we've ever done with the Segway/Smithsonian Tour. Rik (or maybe it's spelt Ric) was awesome. Even though all the museums and monuments were shut (thanks US government for that one), we had great time and the Segway is a fabulous way to get around the Mall. Would recommend this over any other tour we've ever done (and we've done the DC duck, the hop on hop off, and a number of others). Spend the money , it's worth it.

During the Government shut down this tour was just what we needed. I had already booked this tour and was so glad it remained open while all of the Smithsonian museums were closed. It was the only thing we had originally planned that we were able to do on our entire trip. Our guide, Rick, was great. The Smithsonian segway tour is fun and informative. The segway is easy to manage for all ages, even seniors, and is an great way to see a lot in a little time. You are given a hearing device so you clearly hear everything the guide says. I have taken several Segway tours and I am hooked! Thanks again Rick.

We had an excellent experience touring the Washington, DC monuments. After a little practice on using the Segways, we were led around on our Segways past major sites by a pleasant and well-informed guide. Our tour was about two hours, although we did only the partial tour; the full one would have been at least another hour, but for us, 2 hours was about the right length. I live in the DC area and thought I knew our monuments pretty well, but the guide had all sorts of interesting anecdotes and history to tell us. Overall, a fun and interesting tour.
