“Decent neighborhood dive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

Low-key, low drama local bar. Good burger, nice beer selection, low prices. Service was ambivilent, but pleasant. decent place to watch a game, but some seats at end of bar have difficult angle to see TVs. Stools are a bit uncomfortable for extended seating, such as watching a game. Surprisingly easy free street parking nearby after 6:30pm

“Why not?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

The bartender was rude. He hadn't any patience to suggest a draft beer.
A lot of people, nice atmosphere.

“Weak at Best”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 November 2013

Ordered a Long Island Ice Tea. I don't know what she brought me, but after 20 years of drinking them, I can attest it wasn't a Long Island (not even a good imposter). When I questioned if drink order had been switched with something else, she assured me that it was correct. I don't think so...............

“Game night”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2013

We sat at the bar and watched a football game--service was not the best, seemed to be a younger crowd. They were very diligent about checking ID's, so must be a problem there? Just had a few appetizers, nothing special. Very close to our hotel, so suited our needs--just don't go with high expectations and you'll be fine!

“No service... Because we were foreign?!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2013 via mobile

Stopped for a post Georgetown drink. Mousy haired waitress with glasses (when she made it to our table) demanded ID before we could even order. UK drivers license was not acceptable. Residents ID not acceptable. Apparently the only ID that can be accepted for foreigners is passport (in fairness there is a sign on the door saying something like this). But my husband is (visibly) close to 40, yet no discretion was possible.

We decided to try to laugh it off and moved to a table in the restaurant next door (so two metres). What was galling is table after table of Americans were served by the same humourless hostess (and other staff) with none being requested for any form of ID.

Disappointing!
