This review is going to be prejudiced because I'm finishing the last bites of a wonderful, delicious breakfast sandwich called a Funchal, a croissant with egg whites, sauteed onions and a tangy chorizo spread. I first ventured into this Portuguese-flavored spot because I love Illy coffee, and independent shops. This place, with its engaging proprietor, perfectly-made (not bitter) coffee, creative fare, and Portuguese music and books, transports me for a few wonderful minutes to a cafe in Europe. So glad to find this oasis in the middle of office buildings, parking garages, and corporate coffee shops.
