Having gone there this past Monday and being so impressed with the quality of the food, I made it a point to go right back there three nights later (pre Paul Simon-Sting concert...a material part of this review). Firstly, the level of service by our waiter, who knew that we were going to the concert was first-rate. He made sure (and the place was as busy as they could possibly be) that our food arrived so we could get to the show on time....a material thing for an event evening. The sea bass was why I wanted to go a second time, my guest gave me a taste on Monday night. It really is a superbly prepared dish. And, pretty much everything else on the menu was really good. The octopus had a unique flavor, and the wines by the glass were of good/unique quality.
If you are looking for good quality food, with a proprietor that really cares about service, this is a good place to go....you will not go wrong. But, if you are going on an event night...make sure you let your server know, for they treat dining there as an experience (as it is), and they do a good job of letting you savor the unique and delicious flavors that they offer. Try it, you will be happy that you did.
