“Never miss an opportunity to dine here”

Old Ebbitt never disappoints whether you are there for a cocktail, lunch, oysters, or dinner. Get there early, reserve, or sit at the bar…in any case the experience will be a great one.

“Good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014 via mobile

I ate here with my girlfriend yesterday. The decor is very classy and the menu is broad in its offerings and pricing thus making it suitable for special occasions or a reasonably priced lunch. I had the reuben sandwich which was tasty and generously filled! My girlfriend had the blt which was nice but with a definite emphasis on the tomatoes! Both were served with skinny fries. I had a peach soda which was refreshing. Service was a little slow but probably due to the high volume of customers. A nice place to go did a bite to eat with good atmosphere. I would go back.

“Great food in an interesting setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

Very large bar (adequately separated from the dining area), with unusual decorations (beer steins, animal heads, and Bill Cody memorabilia near us). Very friendly and attentive staff. Food was excellent. Save room for the chocolate chip bread pudding--it is to die for! We would eat there again when in DC.

“post museum Happy Hour ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014 via mobile

Spent afternoon at the international spy museum and on way back to hotel decided too stop here for happy hour. Although drinks are not on happy hour, they have seafood on special. Oysters, giant prawns, clams. Very good! I had the Hamilton French 14th... Very refreshing....it has splash of cava, always nice... and prawns and clams. Good happy hour on my last day in DC.
