Half price for oysters in Happy hour. And the oysters are amazing fresh. We ordered 5dozens for 5peoples and some hot dishes. And I like the grilled scallops so much too.
Will definitely come back again.

Amazing restaurant in the heart of DC just a block behind white house.
Their specialty is oysters.
They serve delicious food with beautiful presentation.
Quantity was suffice for two.
Must make reservation before coming else you have to wait at length!

The food is very good!

We arrived in town around 2:00pm and were referred, by our hotel’s concierge, to grab a bite to eat at the oldest pub in town while they finished getting our room ready. It was close by and so we headed over there.

The place was packed, but they were able to get our family of four in quickly. The server was friendly and all our food came out as ordered!

In reading the pub’s history, as written by the owners, it sounds like the beer stein collection may be the only surviving bit of the old pub. I only spoil this story so you aren’t expecting a historic significance when you enter the building. It also sounds like the current owners, intending to buy the beer stein collection, ended up with the entire restaurant business, when the business went up for auction. With so much history in DC, you don’t need a story to enjoy this establishment. The food and service are enough reason to grab a bite here.

Been going to Ebbitts for years. My wife and make sure we visit every time we come to DC. It's always packed because it's a tourist trap. Be aware of a long wait for a table or a seat at the bar. Have not had a bad meal here and it's always hot!
