Authentic Italian food, you can’t go wrong! From the appetizers to the main course to the desserts. Loved it all. The Tortelloni de Michele is one of the best ravioli dishes I’ve ever had. The ravioli was stuffed with braised brisket and served with pine nuts, sage and cremini mushrooms in a wine reduced sauce. If you have leftovers, it’s even better the next day. Make room for dessert. I tried the strawberry shortcake and it was phenomenal! The portions are huge, try sharing. This place is always packed. Service was also fast and friendly. My sister’s phone ran out of battery and they charge it for her at the bar.

We had dinner there while in DC. We needed a reservation so call ahead. It was popular and crowded. Service is great and fancy, atmosphere is fun too. Old school pasta mamas in the window. Pasta melts in your mouth. The glass of Moscato I had was the best I ever had! We splurged on dessert too...you will see those right in the door and be pulled in. The dinner and all we ate and drank was pricey, so be prepared. However it is a city so you expect some of that and food was great!

We had dinner there on the last night of our family reunion. This is an extremely popular restaurant which was packed the whole evening (Saturday). They have an extensive wine and food list. The pasta is all homemade and outstanding. We had multiple appetizers which were delicious. As there were 30 of us we had just about every main entry and everyone loved it!!! We had all the desserts and shared them and they were outstanding. The waiters are professional, courteous and very attentive. If you like Italian food you must visit. By the way, they also have great Gluten free choices and all the sauces are great!

We reserved a table 5 for 915pm and arrived to be kept waiting for 20 mins. We were seated at a table with cutlery full of finger marks and glasses warm and with finger marks. The waiter brought us water and spilled it over two of us. Apart from an apology there was nothing else. We ordered five dishes - other than large portions there is nothing to write home about. Pasta is overcooked seems like food is just reheated. We asked for the wine to be decanted however the wine was served directly from the bottle and the remainder poured into a decanter. ON top of it the head waiter or maitre was rather impolite passing unacceptable remarks to the only female in the group.
Would i go back? NO. Would i recommend? definitely not

Filomena, what can I say... such pleasant memories we all have of a perfect dinner our last night in Georgetown. I had the Linguini with lobster served in the most heavenly sauce and it was perfection. The risotto with crab meat was my husband's choice and equally excellent so we shared back and forth. We also had the calamari and mussels and our Italian visitors were very impressed and raved about every dish that was presented. It's nice when a restaurant is not only beautiful, the service GREAT and the food surpasses your expectations. Filomena's is simply the best.
