We popped in here for lunch - it's a bit of a (pleasant) walk from downtown but well worth it. The food was great and the ambience was a great mix of authentic blended with photos of the famous people who have visited.

Food is good value, and the service excellent. We had a really interesting chat with one of the staff who even showed us his holiday photos, making us feel like a regular! Overall a fabulous experience.

I stopped here during my trip to DC because trip advisor informed me they have vegan food. Vegan hot dogs with vegan chili in a casual popular neighborhood spot. Food was great, patrons were friendly.

The food was diner like burgers, dogs, and fries. The specialty was their chili, which was good, but a bit spicey for the kiddos. Customer service was 110%. Overall we loved it and can see why it is a staple in DC!

Any travel book will mention this as a must eat at. The half smoke with onions and chilli was very good.....not spectacular. The history of this establishment seems to be mostly what sustains it. Good comfort food.

Not so many options to choose - chili, burger or hotdog, but everything is great! The best part - Obama's favorite spot ;) the prices are inexpensive and there's always a huge queue, but the service is quite fast. Take some extra time to explore all the photos of famous visitors.
