Great place for blues and jazz. Awesome ambiance, good service. Food was average. The group playing was not fully professional and lots of hesitations and stops between the songs. I would consider them an amateur crew.

Saw virtuoso Jazz guitarist, Lee Ritenour, at Blues Alley. I'm glad we arrived a half hour early so we could get a decent table. Earlier would have been even better. I suspect they take reservations - I had bought a LivingSocial deal and that automatically reserved a table for us since the ticket price and meal were bundled and prepaid.

Tables are tiny and are very close to one another. This is a true jazz club atmosphere.

I had fairly low expectations for the food nor the service, having read reviews on a dining site. So I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food that I ordered. Food and drink are a tad on the pricey side - not really surprising for a venue of this type. Service was very efficient - no complaints.

This is a great place to see a musical performance. No table is more than 40 feet from the stage. I just hope they tighten up the soffit over the table we occupied - it's a bit loose and rattled on the really deep bass notes.

Second visit...to see Peter White. Super artists headline in an intimate jazz club space. Check website for full calendar of local and national talent.

Menu seemed pricey so did not eat there, but wine and drink prices on par for DC. $12 minimum pp.

Seating is tight!! But, that means you are all close to the music....and live music its awesome in all ways.

Back to back shows, so shows are just over an hour. Artists do meet and greet...pictures and cds, too.

If you love jazz, this is a must do in DC. If you really really love jazz, you will travel to Blues Alley for your favs.

We ventured here to see JERRY "THE ICEMAN" BUTLER. The show was great; Five STARS! We loved our view of the stage. The tables are super small and so were the drinking glasses. the tossed salad was ok, The fillet mignon, was accompanied by broccoli and potatoes. The best part of the meal was the bread pudding it was delicious.

Inconsistent food quality and sometimes great service but worth going early for a better view. Porkchop can be great or tough; fish dishes usually very tasty. Go for the special desserts for a treat.
