I took my 8 year old daughter here, and have to say that once i saw the size i thought she would be ready to leave in 10 minutes, but I was wrong! Everything was hands on, which she loved. Kudos to them for incorporating so much technology into such a small space. And don't pass on the demos!

There are some interesting things, but in a city with museums that blow you away, this one does not impress. The science is pretty hard core and there is a lot of reading, not a lot of interactive elements. My kids, who usually love museums, declared this one "boring".

The exhibit is very small, but is very big on interactive technology that forces the visitor to think critically. The science isn't very novel though for someone with some interest in science.

Although 5$ isn't much compared to some of the other private musea around DC, the size of the museum and the fact that much of the exhibit can be visited virtually makes you wonder whether it was money well spent.

I enjoyed the exhibits on climate change and on HIV. The explanation of the National Academy of Sciences was interesting too.

We visited the Koshland Science Museum and were pleasantly surprised by the very clear, intelligent displays related to global warming, epidemiology, AIDS and other health issues. Young kids would not get much out of this exhibit.
And the price is very reasonable, $5 per person (less for students).
