“Great neighborhood park”
Review of Montrose Park

Montrose Park
Ranked #260 of 458 things to do in Washington DC
Attraction details
Reviewed 26 July 2012

Montrose Park is a NPS-run neighborhood gem in Georgetown providing some solace from the city. It's pretty big as far as parks go and it's a great launching point to access the wooded trail system through Rock Creek and Dumbarton Oaks. The park has some amendies, such as, picnic tables, tennis courts (these are in need of rehab) and a playground area, but the park's best feature is the large swaths of green grass surrounded by beautiful mature trees. This place is amazing in the Fall and Spring.

If you happen to be walking through Georgetown and are looking for a place to take a break from the city this park is worth a stop.
