“old quaint and cute”
Reviewed 18 January 2013

Its a small stone house on m street. you'd be able to imagine how life was back then during the 1700's. Park Service is on day-off on Tuesdays so we just toured the place by ourselves. Had there been a ranger to take us around that would have made the tour more informative and interesting.

“Quaint....”
Reviewed 16 January 2013

Nice to see that this quaint little historical building has survived the commercialization of Georgetown. And it is the oldest standing building in D.C. But besides the history of the actual structure, the building and its exhibits are rather average. It took me about 15 minutes to go through the house. But if you are in Georgetown and you like history, pop in for a few minutes.

“Interesting but not amazing for Europeans”
Reviewed 6 January 2012

Old by the US standards. Not that amazing for anyone whose architecture on average is as old.

“nice respite on a hot day”
Reviewed 27 December 2011

This small site is a welcome, cool break from the bustle on M St on a hot summer day. I like to sit on a shady bench in the back lawn, if I can get one.
