I have been both off and on the court here, as a fan and as a halftime performer. Staff here could not be nicer. From the security check in to the staff members who make sure you get to the right section, row, seat, it's an all around pleasant experience. It's always lively in and around this sports complex with plenty of dining opportunities right outside or in nearby Chinatown. Seats are comfortable and views are great. All of the public access areas are wide and well-marked and easily absorb the large crowds of fans who gather here. The only "con" is the sound system, which is plenty loud but not entirely clear. You are lucky if you catch every third word over the PA. Still, this is a great venue, easy to get to by car or via Metro.

It's a great place to watch WWE events! Seats are quite confortable and the tickets weren't so expensive

Took my 6 year old to a Wizards game. Seats were comfortable and a decent amount of concessions around. My daughter loved the atmosphere and a good time was had by all. Would definitely go again next time we're in town.

My husband and I were very pleased when we visited for a NHL game there recently. We sat in the second deck and the view was terrific. Being downtown you have the rush of people but there were many quality things we noticed while there. The subway is right there! Easy off and easy back on after the game, just wait a few minutes to let the major crowd get through. There is a Starbucks and other eateries right across the street, so get a coffee and wait the few extra minutes. Second, when we walked inside, I was quite pleased how clean it was - esp.the restrooms! The staff we dealt with, from security, concessions, etc., all of them were very pleasant. I have been to many NHL games in various cities and this was quite good. Only one negative and I filled out their survey also about this - the sound system was real loud! When the gentleman spoke, it did hurt my ears. Maybe I was tired, or maybe they just had it on the incorrect setting that day, who knows. It is worth a visit as a hockey fan!

We have attended 3 Capitals hockey games--all in the "nosebleed" seats (i.e., high up) and had a great time for all three (and the Caps won each time!). Once, we were against the back wall, but could still see just fine. You can usually find tickets even just a few days before the games. We usually choose seats near the aisle for easier in/out. There are special "express" escalators to take you to these top floors. If you pick a section at either end, you can see the entire playing 'field' without obstruction. The more in advance you book, (obviously) the better the price. There's a large, unlimited popcorn which isn't too bad for price. Next door is a McDonald's and a Chipotle on either side. The best metro stops are either Gallery Place/Chinatown or Metro Center. For a great burger nearby a step up from fast food, try Capitol Brewing Company (1100 NY Ave.) If you have a bag of any kind, you have to be searched as you go into the Verizon Center, and you will go through metal detectors.
