An absolutely exceptional lunch at Blue Duck Tavern. One of the best meals of the year. They just seem to keep getting better every time we go. We may need 6 stars. Service was perfect. Nice wine by the glass list with healthy pour (at the table) and the opportunity to taste your wine first. Honig Sauvignon Blanc was our preference. The menu is always changing a little which makes every visit somewhat unique. Wife had the flatbread app and the shaved Cabbage Salad with Scallops. Perfectly prepared and the scallops were huge. I had Beet Salad for an app and Wood Oven Fired Tuna for my entree. Large, cold beet wedges with crumbled goat cheese and tasty, spicy peanuts(liked those!). The tuna was perfectly rare and a nice warm chorizo stew complemented the dish exceptionally. We visit DC once a year. Can't wait to come back next year!!
