We stayed for 2 nights during our recent trip to Washington DC and just loved this place! The rooms were so well appointed with all of the special touches! The location in the heart of the Embassy Row area close to Adams Morgan. The breakfasts were lovely -- fruit salad, breakfast breads, and incredible french toast! We loved sitting around the table in the dining room visiting with the wonderful guests! Everyone seemed to be on a return trip! We will go back to this "Home away from Home" again and again!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are delightful!

I love staying at the Embassy Circle Guest House for a number of reasons. The staff are always incredibly nice and accommodating. They welcome me every visit with a great smile. The rooms are perfectly clean and very well-appointed. The other guests are always quite interesting - typically from all around the country or the globe. We talk about all kinds of issues together, which really colors my DC visits nicely. Laura and Raymond are the consummate hosts - I can't speak highly enough of how wonderful they are.

A perfect combination of engaging, friendly hosts and exquisite accomodations. Laura and Raymond, perfect hosts, describes their guest house as elegant and spacious - and, it is.

Perfectly located in the heart of the embassy area of Washington, DC, it is convenient to virtually everything Washington has to offer. Laura and Raymond set the atmosphere with wine at 5:30 for the guests. They are more than willing to reservations to great area restaurants.

The rooms are spacious, quiet, loaded with antiques and perfectly appointed. We notice details and this is loaded with them. From the base and crown moldings, to the plastered medalions supporting the crystal chandeliers, to the antiques, to the hardware on the doors, to the Plantation Shutters, to the carpet and to the brick work retained during its remodeling - this place is...

Did I mention perfect?

OK, OK - nothing short of heaven is perfect... parking can be tricky and there's no yard... But, it is in Washington DC! We would never stay anywhere else whenever we have the privilege of going to Washington DC again.

Oh - and, ask Laura and Raymond about their story...

The house is beautifully restored, the rooms very well appointed, and the hospitality unmatched. Each morning, the owners fix a wonderful breakfast and in the evenings, wine and refreshments. While the price may appear steep at first glance, you'll feel like you owe them even more by the end of your stay.

Not sure how you could not enjoy yourself here, we had two nights and had a good time. Staff/owners are friendly and attentive. Breakfast plentiful, snacks lovely, afternoon drinks great and all round great location, short walk to some great restaurants and nightlife.

Well done team

We stayed for five days in early October. Our room, the Rose Tabriz, was delightfully furnished and very pleasant. Raymond and Laura are excellent hosts and are very ably supported by their staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Breakfasts were delicious and we particularly enjoyed the diverse conversations around the large breakfast table each morning.

We arrived on the day the US Government shutdown started and were rather worried that we would have nothing to do. Laura and Raymond had prepared a listing of alternative attractions for their guests and we had a marvellous time mixing visits to the alternatives with what we found was still actually "open".

The Guest House is within easy walking distance of DuPont Circle. We used its Metro station as a jumping off point for our daily travels and walked each evening to eat in one of the excellent selection of restaurants there recommended by Laura and Raymond.

We wouldn't hesitate to stay again and would certainly recommend it as an excellent place to stay.

What a lovely find in DC. We spent 3 nights in our nations capital and could not have picked a more perfect spot. Our hosts Laura and Raymond and the entire staff were wonderful, accommodating and engaging. The room was perfect, breakfasts were yummy and varied, and the conversation with our hosts and guests was delightful. Words will not do justice to the level of care that you will be treated to if you decide to stay here. We will be back again.
