Great location and staff is wonderful at this Hyatt. Food was very good and pretty reasonably priced. Wait staff very efficient and polite. Desk staff very attentive and on top of things. It's obvious all the employees work as a team to make your hotel experience there a success. Highly recommend

Laurieh,
Thank you very much for your kind words of recognition to our staff. We do indeed try hard to curate an environment where teamwork and care for both our internal and external guests.

It was a pleasure service you and we hope to see you return soon.

Sincerely,

Rustin Moore

Easy walk to National Mall, staff was friendly, breakfast was varied and good. First night, noticed bed sheets had a tear in them. No biggie. Faucet 90% ran hot water, had to crank it to the far edge to get cool, and when we did that, the water came out at slightly more than a trickle. One night, one of the beds was missing a top sheet. Not huge problems, just sloppy. But a few days later, noticed quite a lot of dried blood stains on one of the beds' comforter.

There was no duvet, just a sheet on top of the down comforter, so it was easily revealed just by sleeping in the bed (but unfortunately not until we'd already slept in it). Called down, told them the problem, asked them to come get the blood stained comforter. They did so before we returned to the hotel that evening, but never replaced the comforter, so we slept in sheets for the rest of the trip.

Also went to happy hour on the 3rd floor, ordered appetizers. One of the plates had dried food adhered to it. Nachos were straight up cold. Have never sent anything back before, but these were inedible. As with the nachos, the rest of the food looked like it was bought at Costco, microwaved, and thrown on a plate.

This could be a delightful hotel, and the staff was very nice, but there was just enough sloppy grossness to make us want to spend our money elsewhere next time.

Room Tip: Not for germaphobes or foodies.

First trip to Washington DC so I didn't really know what location was best, a friend told me about this hotel. I'm so glad it was where it was. I love the museums so it was in the perfect location. We used UBER to go to the other places so really it wasn't too far from anything. The rooms were super clean and felt very safe. The reception level had friendly staff and a steady supply of lemon'd water which for some reason, I couldn't get enough, it tasted soooo good. I appreciated the security of the place and I felt very safe. We arrived before check in but they were more than happy to safeguard our luggage until checkin. I would say the only 2 negative things are the water pressure. If you have long thick hair you're gonna be in the shower a long time rinsing and rinsing, he other thing is there is not a whole lot of places to eat nearby within walking distance. We plan to visit this hotel again.

Susan,
We are glad that we got to host your first visit to Washington DC!

Thank you for the feedback. We will make sure that our Engineering team visits our water pressurizing system as it seems this has been a short lived, but recent trend. Trust that we will get to the bottom of it.

Thank you again

Loved the hotel. One block from Big Bus hop on hop off pick up or drop off. One block from the Bible Museum. Great room and fabulous breakfast! Very clean! Rooms are a good size. Not far from the metro either. We used Uber
and it was very reasonable.

Got there and the valets were very friendly. That was it. The only other smile was when we left and that was also the valets. Wish I had known they did not do room service. Maps of the hotel in the rooms and at the elevators show no ice machines but we did find them. Took a long time to check out. No line just trouble with the computers. For over $300 a night I expected much more.

Keninten,
Please accept our collective apologies for any unfriendliness that you may have read from our staff. That is absolutely not our intention to come off as unwelcoming or disgruntled. If you read our reviews from 1,000 feet up, our staff is typically recognized for our willingness to serve and to go above and beyond with service requests with a smile.

I hope that one agent did not spoil the momentum of your visit and sway you into this opinion.

I wish you well and hope we have the chance to recoup this lost faith in service.
