First of my card was charged twice. Once when I first ordered the room online for 103.36. Then my card was charged again by skoosh for 118.86 that I authorize, and if that wasn't enough me and my wife was in the room in the bed when we look over to works looking at us thru our window

Great location just a block away from the Metro. Several good sandwich shops and eateries nearby. Very nice neighborhood. Front desk was pleasant and extremely helpful. Room was clean and fresh. I would definitely stay here gain.

Room Tip: We were on the backside so there was no street noise whatsoever.

This hotel is not fancy at all, but its location is excellent and convenient to the metro, several good restaurants, and groceries. The neighborhood is safe for walking to and from public transportation and local businesses.

The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. No breakfast, contrary to several advertisements I saw online. Coffee is available in the lobby. Parking is extra, but it is very convenient and accessible.

If you want upscale or luxury, this is not the hotel for you. If you want no-frills convenience with a friendly, courteous staff, this will fill the bill.

Room Tip: My fifth-floor room faced busy Connecticut avenue but was quiet enough to allow for a restful stay.

Thank you for your review of the hotel. We love when our guests brag on our employees. They are, of course, our most important asset and knowing that they were friendly and professional is music to my ears. I’m glad you also found the hotel to be convenient during your stay in DC. We love being located so close to the metro and surrounded by restaurants and other necessities. It provides such a variety for our guests, and that is extremely important when you are traveling. Again, thank you for the kind words and we hope to see you again soon.

The Hotel was in a very nice neighborhood. The Staff was Kind and Courteous! It was only 2 blocks from the Metro Station, and had a bunch of conveniences around it like CVS, Giant Food and restaurants (fast food, Chinese, Italian, etc.). The Family Fun Room Rocked! You walk in the room and the bathroom is in front of you and the room splits left and right. To the right was a King Bed room with night stands, dresser, flat screen TV and shelf system and hangers. To the left was a cool room with Bunk Bed, Wall mounted TV, chair with foot rest and a desk. The bunk bed side also had a fridge and microwave, and the King side had coffee maker and iron/ironing board. It was a perfect place for a family to spread out and enjoy the chill out time before bed. Only dislike was that all the room doors have automatic closures and SLAM SHUT... Woke up throughout the night to that sound (however, when at any hotel, I do expect noisy travelers coming in from the nightlife, so it did not bother me that much). It was great to be able to park in their lot (for a fee which was not bad). They allow you to park a few hours before check in and after check out). We Loved the room and will stay there again!!

Just returned to Days Inn after staying there 6 years ago. It's not a fancy hotel, but the rooms have been updated and good. (The faucets in the bathroom are original--not the best.) My room looked out on the back parking lot, so it was very quiet. Connecticut Ave is one of the prettiest and busiest streets in DC (though the area around the hotel is not especially pretty) -- and you can walk up and down to see some of the toniest apartment buildings. Most important: this hotel is within walking distance of the Red Line (Van Ness). When you walk to it, be sure to stop in to Epicurean. Their buffet is great for a family with different tastes (just watch the kids -- it's charged by the pound). I like getting lean protein and some fresh watermelon in the morning. The price was reasonable considering a big city. And -- I like this a lot -- when you stay at a "reasonable" hotel you see a lot of foreign visitors experiencing our USA for the first time.

Located two blocks from a metro station .. So good location for site seeing. Te staff were very friendly.. Unfortunately, even with some cosmetic updates, the place is starting to show it's age and looks a little outdated. It looked very clean yet I could smell multiple cleaning products.. (E.g., powdered rug freshener.. And then a harsh cleaner in bathroom) worried me for what they were trying to cover up. The bed was softer than I prefer.. But others may prefer a less firm bed.
