I made a reservation via expedia and received a good room rate for our stay. I have to agree that the bath room design is a not odd if traveling with other guests. The frosted glass doesn't leave much for privacy. However the heated floor tiles were a great touch. The beds very comfy. Room size overall not to bad as we had three people in 2 double beds. Spacing was a bit tight but manageable. The only thing that was that the windows over the bar/restaurant does not tone out the sound. Ask for a room that is opposite of the restaurant as the sound does carry. All in all a great hotel to stay in as it is very close to the metro and lots of restaurants and shops.

Had heard good things about the DuPont Circle Hotel and was not let down - from an extremely warm welcome, a well appointed room overlooking the Circle/Park, to an absolutely outstanding meal (try the veal - its a chefs speciality and was quite delicious!)
This hotel was well positioned for exploring DC, close to the main attractions, and its lively bar provided a pleasant spot from which to reflect on the days trek around the nations treasures. My wife and I are already looking forward to our next visit.

We took our two grandchildren to Washington, DC. The Dupont Circle Hotel was fantastic. The proximity to the Metro and local restaurants were highlights. The room was fine for the four of us. The bathroom was very different with an open plan. It worked out fine but I can see if you were with a business partner it could be difficult. The concierge, Michael, was fantastic and suggested restaurants that were within our budget and perfect to enjoy with the grandkids.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view.

Woderful staff and very hip decor. Some rooms seemed small but we asked for and received wheel chair accessible room which was quite spacious. Awesome location on Dupont Circle. Walking distance to Georgetown and monuments/museums plus Dupont area is great. Watch the world go by from the outdoor bar and meet people from around the world. We'll be back.

This is a wonderful hotel to stay in. The bathrooms are not anything like some people have stated. They are very private from the main room . I would rather have a glass door between the toilet area than an old hollow wood door. I stay in the major hotel chains but after the stay here, I will make it apoint to stay at this location. Very clean rooms!

This boutique hotel is right on Dupont Circle....in a great neighbourhood with tons of restaurants, embassy mansions, a 24 hour pharmacy, gardens etc. We only had to take the metro a few times as you can walk everywhere (cabs and traffic are a nightmare in DC!). Our room was modern and stylish, when we arrived the door handle on the shower stall was broken and one of the ceiling lights was burnt out (they fixed the shower handle the next day but the light was never repaired. The staff were great.....offering lots of tips for restaurants etc. My only compliant is that aside from the room repairs, if you want a bathtub instead of just a shower stall you better book way in advance as those rooms are limited.

Room Tip: Limited rooms with bathtub so ask in advance

Very nice hotel. Hip (expensive) bar, great food. Great location, steps from Metro... BUT, for the life of me, I can NOT understand why anyone would recommend this place for anyone with kids.

Double room was bug enough for two people, not four. No door on bathroom (you better room with someone you're intimate with), no pool, no in-room movies... NOTHING for kids... Yet every guidebook recommends it for families. Go figure.

Again, great place... If my wife and I were in DC alone. NOT for kids.
