The good: convenient location, near metro, nice, safe area, with good restaurants, things to do.
The bad: the noise, from Dupont Circle, and the street; the small, crowded rooms (closet was size of my high school locker), and the glass wall between bathroom, and room. Sink has no vanity area. Other reviewers wrote there are no doors between bathroom, and room. It is true. No door. Worse, the glass panels don't meet, so anyone in the room could view almost anything going on in bathroom. No privacy when sitting on the commode.
Fitness center looks modern, but lights are dim, the floor has carpeting, and did not seem clean. It smelled of pesticide and mold.
The ugly: cockroaches, and other bugs. I hope we didn't bring any home with us. Staff was friendly, but not helpful, making promises, and having to call front desk numerous times to get results.

Overall the rooms were very small. There were 3 of use sharing the room and while getting ready we had to position ourselves strategically so that we could get around. The bathroom was open to the room, with a frosted glass door for the toilet/shower area. So with 3 friends sharing the room there was little privacy in that department. (Plus, there as a 1/2 in crack between the glass door and glass wall... right at the toilet!!!) The shower space wasn't large enough and the bathroom floor got very et. The decor was modern and the rooms were clean, but like I said before they were very small.

Downstairs it was very loud at night, but once up stairs we couldn't hear it. (And we were only on the 2nd floor!!)

One of the people i was traveling room complained of an odor in the lobby. I never noticed it, though.

The air conditioner was VERY loud and was annoying at night while sleeping.

I really loved the beds... it was very comfortable! Lot's of pillows and I think it had a feather bed on top of the mattress! I wish I could have taken the bed home with me!

It's in a great location, right on the red line. The staff as very helpful and made great recommendations for breakfast and ice cream.

Room Tip: 2 double beds makes for a cramped room... ask for a room with a king bed.

Fantastic boutique hotel in a great location. Personal service and recognition from the hotel staff members at every turn. Cole, a front desk manager, was a pleasure to meet.
The rooms are somewhat small, but well appointed. I would gladly return to this hotel.

I love this hotel and have stayed here for years, going back to the days it was Jury's Hotel. The room service is prompt and delicious, the location perfect and the rooms very clean and nice. My only complaint is the bathroom. For some reason or another the futuristic look they are going for means I guess that in the future, people will have see through glass doors in their bathroom, and low shower walls that get water everywhere.

If they were to update the bathroom, I would rate them excellent.

The reviews on this place were all over the place when I was deciding on it, I felt I had to weigh in with my opinion. The Dupont Circle Hotel is probably more suited for the business traveler or a couple. I wouldn't recommend it for families. The hotel is nice, elegant and priced a little lower than comparable hotels in the area.

Dupont Circle is a vibrant urban community with many bars and restaurants nearby. The bar in the hotel lobby itself was a hopping place way past my bedtime every night. A Metro stop is also right there, so you won't need a car for DC commuting. Dupont Circle itself was full of life in May when I was there - people singing, playing music and just hanging out. I found it enjoyable. The apartments and condos had gardens out front, so it was also a nice area for an early walk or run.

The rooms themselves were European efficient but very nice. There is not a separate room for the bathroom, so this is why I say it probably isn't appropriate for families. The toilet and shower area all just kind of blend together with half glass partitions in between. A glass door separates this are from the sink area. Slate tile covers the heated floor in front of the sink. The room is nicely furnished in art deco style and a large HDTV. The bed is comfortable and the room quite at night.

The lobby is a comfortable place to unwind at the end of the day with sofas and a firepit. You won't find a free breakfast in the morning, but they do offer complementary coffee. There are quite a few quick breakfast places nearby. They also don't have a fitness center, but you will probably do a lot of walking during the day.

I would definitely stay at Dupont Circle Hotel again although one could ask for more.

This is an older property recently renovated. Decor is modern and trendy as is service approach. Hotel is good for business travellers, couples on vacation but not recommended for family travel.
Good: housekeeping, restaurant, desk, front door, and bar staff all excellent. Great location.
Needs improvement: no robes, desks in rooms have no lamps so rooms tend to be dark. Refrigerator is a mini vendor type, zero room for personal drinks, etc. Valet took 20 minutes to retrieve our car on checkout. No guest laundry, no pool or gym onsite (guets are referred to Mint gym). For laundry, recommend Imperial Valet close by, $2.50 per pound.
Overall it was an okay stay but will look elsewhere on the return.

I stayed at the Dupont Circle hotel for a business trip and was impressed with the contemporary rooms and friendly staff. The bedrooms (I had King) are a nice size with a sitting bench and desk with plenty of outlets. The hotel provides free WiFi which is great for business. The bathroom is very large and modern. There is a nice bar area and the bed was incredibly comfortable.

Aside from modern interior and design, the friendly and helpful staff really set this hotel apart from others in DC. There is a great bar and restaurant in the lobby and the hotel is located directly on Dupont Circle so you can walk everywhere. The metro is also only 1.5 blocks away. I would recommend this for business travel or a vacation.
