We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was free of street noise. I did not hear noise from others most of the time that we were there, but I did hear talking, from adjacent rooms, on the other sides of the walls, one morning. The staff could not have been nicer, from the time we checked in to the moment we checked out. The water by the reception desk was wonderful, with lemon and lime cut in--very refreshing. I didn't realize anything was added until a friend asked--there was soda added. I would have liked to have known that before making the choice to drink it. The room was very nice--nicely decorated, clean (for the most part) and the carpets felt fine. Our second day there, there was hair in the bath tub, which made us wonder how attentive housekeeping had been. The only really bad thing about our stay is that the bathroom floor was really slippery, and my friend and I both slipped. We tried to be very careful after our first experiences, but I still injured my shoulder in a slip one day, and my toes in a slip another. (Both "injuries" were fleeting, but painful at the time they happened. It may be because of the cleaning supplies used. We did report the slippery floor to the front desk; they seemed very interested in guest services there, so this is something that they may take care of promptly. I hope so! Parking was $30 a night, and we were not using our car the entire time, but it was what it was. (Most D.C. hotels charge for parking....) I would stay here again, if the pricing were right for the time, etc. It is in a very pretty, convenient area, right by the Metro and within walking distance of many sites and areas of interest. I was on a high floor and did not hear any noise from outside. The hotel is in a quiet area, so even lower floors might be quiet. The hotel is down the street from a hospital but I did not hear sirens.

Room Tip: I was on a high floor and did not hear any noise from outside.

the hotel is very well located and confortable. The ratio price and service was good.
rooms are big and well cleaned.
if you want to visit the town by feet you can walk to the lincoln memorial in 15 minutes from the hotel, otherwise you can take buses or underground. It is very close also to george town that is a very nice place for restaurant and food (10 minutes by feet).

I have stayed at this hotel a dozen times and the service and quality always are very good. In the Foggy Bottom area, it is a little off the key tourist tracks but walking distance to Kennedy Center, Georgetown, and the Connecticut Ave. food and shopping area. About 2 blocks to a blue/orange line Metro stop (direct access from Reagan National and Smithsonian Metro stop on the Mall). There's a 7-11 convenience story a block away. Rooms are relatively large and bedding is comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. I held back one star not becauses it has any problems but because it doesn't quite have the "wow" factor.

Room Tip: I have had no problems with noise -- the location removes the potential for street noise.

We stayed two nights at the hotel to help our daughter move into DC area house. The suite was just twenty dollars more than a standard room which was also a bargin, had a kitchenette and a good view. The room(s) were large for a downtown hotel and was in easy walking distance of everything. The staff was fine if not especially gracious. Everything worked which you can't always say. We will look here first to see what deals are available for our next trip.

We staying at the Inn for a total of 6 nights between in Late july and early august 2011. I can keep this review short and sweet:and all this is given the 200 USD average price we paid for the family room with extra bed.

Nice rooms, good service and kind staff.
great location as its close to the subway and easy to get taxis,
internet working well, shops nearby and the restaurant both for breakfast and dinner good.

FEDEX packages waiting for which we had send to the hotel,
luggage left for a few days taken care of,
always helpful when we required directions or cabs,
good attitude while it was pretty busy.

I will certainly stay here again and recommend you to the same if you require a decent, clean room at a good, quiet and safe location in DC.

This was a great experience for our group of friends. The rooms are nicely decorated in colonial style but do not lack modern equipment. You can cook your own meal if necessary, though anything but basic kitchen utensils are not provided. Friendly and fast service.

Great place to stay for visiting GWU and other colleges. Conveniently located by the metro, walking distance to the White House and mall. Not a bad walk to Georgetown either.

We got an upgrade to a one-bedroom suite. Nice and roomy. Good choice for a family with teens. Fold out couch was not the best but not the worst.
