I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for two nights in June 2014. The hotel is centrally located in Washington DC with direct access to the Metro, which is very convenient. I was given a suite (i.e two connecting rooms) on the first floor of the hotel, near the entrance, which was not my preference. If you stay there, ask for a room located on one of the top floors, unless you want to see people walk by your window and listen to their conversations.
The reception staff was polite but not that welcoming. A smile or two would help a bit. I have stayed at cheaper hotels in DC that were more welcoming.
The hotel has a good selection of restaurants. It is centrally located with a lot of other restaurants and attractions nearby.
Would I stay there again? Probably not, unless someone else is paying for my stay. Again, nothing bad, but nothing super great about that hotel.More
