If hotel location, safety, cleanness and prize are important to you when choosing hotels, Hotel Harrington is the best.

We stayed four nights with Harrington, booked for Double room with Two Double Beds, luckily we got an interconnected room, with two bath rooms, two single and one queen beds, two TVs, great for three of us.

The location is unbeatable, 10 minutes walk to White House, 20 minutes walk to Capitol, 5 minutes walk to National Mall, 5-10 minutes walk to Forever 21 / H&M, Macy's, 15 minutes walk to China Town. There are many eating places around. It is located in an safe area as well.

The room is quite clean. Make sure you ask for higher floor if possible. Since there were many student groups visiting Washington, Hotel will arrange lower floor for them, I went to use Laundromat on second floor, many students were walking in and out different rooms, talking, listening to music and singing in the corridor.

This hotel is terrible - we went to check in at 2pm and told our room wouldn't be ready till after 5pm as they are busy which is ok except the ladies on reception as rude and they looked and spoke to you like you are a burden and that they wished you weren't there. Hotel entry is dirty and old and had people sitting on floor waiting to get into their rooms as cleaners were busy. Toilet's in reception were dirty and un-usable (I would rather go in a public park as they would be cleaner). When we finally got to our room it was dark and looked and smelled dirty. We looked for another hotel but everything was booked that night but tomorrow was free, so we checked out early and went to the Sofitel about 5mins away, - this was lovely and would recommend this to anyone and best part about it - IT WAS CHEAPER as well.
OVERALL - I would not recommend Hotel Harrington

We stayed here for 6 nights on the end of our 2 week trip.
It had an awesome location. Museums close enough to walk to and located 2 blocks from 2 metro stations. Restaurant there was great value ( omelette a big enough to share and kid burger was plenty!) other restaurants nearby.
Hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Very safe too. We had a triple with big fridge, hot pot, flat screen. Hotel has microwave, laundry, computers, ice machine... Very convenient.
Staff all very nice and helpful.
Stayed here with my teenage boys and would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Only thing I would change is the mattress on my bed..,it was very broken down especially on the edges.

We very much enjoyed our stay in DC over the 4th. The hotel is basic lodging. But clean and pleasant. We did not go to town to lounge in the room.
The attached restaurant.....not so much. Mediocre food. Poor service. Won't do that again.

1325 G Street, get to know this area because that's where you will park your vehicle. Then you will walk back to 11th and East, where the hotel is located. If you forgot something in your car, guess what? You get to walk all the way back! Yes the hotel is located near sites, but so is other hotels. They would have to pay ME to stay there again! The ceiling in the room leaked water, two outlets in the entire room worked, fridge was broken (no other replacements available), the outlet in the bathroom is located in the light, etc. I will NEVER stay there again!
