“Best hotel I have stayed in years!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2013

I had never been to Marriott hotel before. Our stay in Washington was great.
-Staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Examples: 1)They accepted us before the official check-in time without extra charge, seeing that we had a baby and were waiting in the lobby 2)We asked a random staff member in the hall way if we could have a crib for the baby and he brought one in 10 minutes, along with a small fridge for the baby food, no questions asked, no extra charges 3)We had breakfast included. The food was really tasty and the buffet had what was needed to start our day with energy. The restaurant service staff was on time and very friendly.

The Marriott Metro Hotel was probably the most professional and family friendly hotel I have been in years. I have never felt so 'at home' and appreciated in a hotel. Bravo!!!

Twelve family members stayed two nights. Perfect location to travel to the mall, capitol, restaurants, etc. Walk, use metro, or cabs. The kids enjoyed the pool. Rooms clean and staff helpful. Would stay again.

Right be the Metro station, walking distance to monuments and movies. Great restaurants around as well. Room was ok, pol relaxing after walking long hours. Starbucks and several places to have nice breakfast close by.

This was our 2nd trip to D.C., our 1st to this hotel. The main metro station is right outside along with plenty of places to eat within a few blocks. The rooms are small, seems to be the case in D.C anywhere. The staff was helpful, rooms were clean. You don't get a fridge unless requested. We requested one because my husband has meds that require it. The pool was decent for my son to take a break in. We used the metro to go to Arlington Cemetery and the Pentagon so we found having it so close convenient. Know when going to D.C. that there is not one area to stay that won't require walking. The Smithsonians and White House are not super close but if you can walk 5-6 blocks you will be okay. I would stay again.

Our check in was with Steve. He was very accommodating. We got 2 rooms adjoining. They were very clean, and the free buffet breakfast was very good. There were discrepancies in our bill, but was taken care of flawlessly. The front desk was very friendly and helpful, always trying to be accommodating. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed there as couple for one night on 5th July. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathroom looks a bit dated but is good and clean. The buffet breakfast which we opted for while booking the room was wholesome and sumptuous and would definitely recommend for all to opt for.

The hotel does not provide free drinking water in the room and charge 6 dollars for the bottle provided in the room, so think before you open the bottle.

The concierge desk at hotel give wrong information and try to guide you in a way that they can make a quick buck. I was told that no shuttle to airport will be available at the time of of my departure but on contacting super shuttle directly they took the booking. Same way on the hop on hop off tour I was told that the charges are the same if I book directly or through concierge desk. Later I discovered there was a difference of 20 dollars on each ticket.Rather than helping the guest they are misguiding the guest and making money for themselves. Overall paid nearly 30% of my room tariff to concierge due to their misguidance. Best to avoid them if you stay in the Hotel.

Spent four days here being a tourist. This site is primarily business travelers and not tourist. We did the concierge package with breakfast included -- in DC this is a necessary traveling with teenagers. The concierge room was good and the morning staff were very friendly and really did a great job with customer requests and demands. The hotel is located right next to the metro center and it was very convenient but beware if you are using the metro -- they charge an extra dollar per ride if you use the paper ticket. The Concierge at the hotel was not very helpful when it came to this type of information or recommendations for restaurants or navigating the city. The Bellman and Doormen were top notch and always said hello and went out of their way to help us. Rooms are clean and good sized. My only recommendation for family travelers is to make sure you include the concierge level so your breakfast and etc is included. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: We had a street room and it was noisy at night.
