“Good stay.....good location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2014

We recently stayed here while visiting Washington DC and would stay there again. Room was nice, had a pool on the roof, and is a 10 minute walk to the White House. The parking in the basement was cramped but did not need the car the entire stay. What is really convenient are the restaurants one block away on P street as well as a Whole Foods if you would like to do some grocery shopping. The area felt safe and the staff were friendly. There is a Subway stop a few blocks away as we'll.

Room Tip: Subway a few blocks away as well as plenty of good dining choices one block up on P street was a plu...

We stayed here with our family for 2nights. Hotel is walking distance to many sites. Definitely taxi ride from Washington Union Railway Station. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant but did have pizzas delivered to our room one night (thru the hotel)-very easy and tasty. We picked up supplies for breakfast from nearby Whole Foods store where we were able to take our meal to eat upstairs there.
We booked 2 day Big Bus tour and shuttle just outside hotel took us to Big Bus stop. Staff at the hotel were very helpful with directions and booking transport for us. Our rooms were large and very comfortable. The rooftop pool was simple with little shade-it was hot and humid when we were there.
We enjoyed our short stay.

The room was spacious and had all the facilities you need. The hotel provided free coffee and tea 24 hours as well as access to water. The gym was more than adequate and kept us fit. The breakfast had a great choice. I found the staff always very helpful.

A very nice, clean hotel. Great reception with lovely staff! The roof top pool was the icing on the cake! We had a nice dinner on arrival and breakfast was good too! The rooms were spacious and very clean! Keep up the good work! :)

We had a two-bed room for four weeknights (2 children, 2 adults). Cost us a total of just over $1,000, including taxes and $26 a day parking fee. The room was fairly small, but it was clean and the hotel overall was well maintained. We ate dinner in the restaurant the first night after a long drive in. It was past 7:00 and there were only two other tables with people in the dining room. We stood a good 5-10 minutes waiting to get seated. A couple employees passed us but didn't even bother to say "I'll be with you in a moment." Our waitress was very friendly, but our meal took forever to arrive (even though the dining room was practically empty), the food was mediocre at best, and she got my son's order wrong. My daughter's meal was free because of her age, but it still cost $49 for the three of us and we never ate in the restaurant again. I sent the others back to the room and then waited a good 10 minutes for my check to arrive. I was approaching the desk to ask the hostess if I could get my check when she quickly rushed over saying, "I was just coming with your check." Horrible service. In addition, the woman who checked us in the first day was very unfriendly and sharp. I asked where the parking garage was located and she gave me such hurried and vague directions that we shot right past the alley where it is located and then spent 15 minutes in rush hour traffic trying to wind out way back through the traffic circles and one-way streets we were unfamiliar with. A bigger, more obvious sign pointing to the parking (as well as friendlier desk staff) would be very helpful. The location of the hotel is very good. It's about 1/2 a mile from the McPherson Square or Dupont Circle Metro stations. We walked home from Ford's Theater (about a mile) and the Spy Museum (about a mile and a half). Pizza Autentica on 15th Street (about half a mile away) saved our lives for my picky-eater daughter and there is a Subway a couple doors down. Nearby is a Whole Foods, which was great for picking up breakfast pastries and there are at least three CVS pharmacies within a half mile of the hotel. Both a Panera and a Krispie Kreme are right at the DuPont Circle Metro Station entrance if you need to grab breakfast on your way somewhere. The hotel is pricey for basic accommodations, but considering the location and the prices of other hotels, it was probably no more overpriced than any place else. I would definitely stay away from the hotel restaurant and keep your eyes peeled if you use the parking garage.

We loved the hotel! The front desk staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Larry is especially helpful arranging tours, flagging down taxis, and just being helpful. Great location between Logan and Dupont Circles, and less than a mile from the White House. We needed a late check out and the staff were accommodating. We would definitely stay here again. Come to town a lot last minute on business and this was one of the few places that had rooms. Was assigned an "accessible" room and aside from the short ironing board that comes with it, was perfectly fine with all usual ammenities.

Room was clean, bed reasonably comfortable. Only annoyance (and I can say this about a lot of the hotels I stay in) was all the flashing lights in the smoke detectors and such -- that stuff is bothersome at night.

Was right across from fitness center and didn't hear a thing. Looked well-equipped.

They do adjust rates (revenue manage) here a lot, so yes, you may pay $275 a night for a room here which seems outrageous. However, the Courtyard across the street is charging $425 at the same time so this place is always a relative bargain.

Didn't eat here, wouldn't eat here. Too many other options within walking distance.
