We had preebooked a room 9 months ahead of our stay. We are 5 persons, 3 adult and 2 teenagers. We booked one room with two queen beds, assuming that we would rent at rollaway bed for the 5.person.
When we arrived in the afternoon they said they dident have any spare rollaways! We tried to explain that our three kids (22,13 and 11) could not possibly share one bed. They didnt seem to care to much.... they would try to get us one the next day.
we tried the sharing but our son ended up sleeping on the floor..
In the morning we went to the front desk and met the very friendly and helpful morning staff, Joseph and his colleague. They where very sorry for the bad service and that we would get a rollaway bed the same day without charging us for it. Unfortunately the rollaway best was the worst bed ever!

The there where the card keyes newer working when we came back to the hotel in the evenings. They blamed it on the mobilephones and such, but this is very strange...never been a problem in other hotels. The rrom was not very clean, they had not vacuumed the carpet under the furnitures and thats not so good for my dust allergy.

The breakfast only for two people. We got breakfast for the rest of us 5 at the Whole foods market just around the corner, best store ever!!

When we where cheking out they had charged us for the rollaway bed after all!! But again the morning staff, Joseph an his colleague, fixet it and told us that they where very sorry about this.

The location was great (only a few blocks north of the White House). Staff was friendly and helpful. However the rooms were too small and was missing the fridge that the hotel's website said the room would have. Parking was a nightmare, as there was barely enough spots.

Room Tip: One side of the building has a view of the Washington Monument

Just back from a week's stay at this hotel. The Good: The location is about 6 blocks from the Mcpherson Metro Station with many dining venues and a whole foods and trader joe's nearby on 14th street. The front of the house staff was excellent! Every visitor was greeted and they were knowledgeable and able to provide accurate directions to all points of interest. The Marginal: Housekeeping was not consistent. Debris on the carpet suggests that the room was often not vacuumed, maintenance requests for a defective light switch was ignored, moisture rings left by glasses were untouched and resupply of the bathroom towels and shampoo was erratic. It is clear that they do not have a head housekeeper who inspects the rooms following service.

The pool is on the roof and provided a great place to view the fireworks. Interesting to note that the facility is not ADA compliant as they do not have the required handicapped lift. Although they had a pool attendant he appeared to be more interested in texting than insuring that guests had a supply of towels or removing wet towels from the pool deck. During our stay he was visited by two manager types. The first was more interested in showing him pix of his last vacation!--However, the second visitor quickly radioed for more towels as the supply was exhausted.

All in all a somewhat aged hotel with good room size in a good location We did not use the restaurant but understand the food was good and prices were fair.. Kudos to the front desk manager- A wag of the finger to housekeeping and the GM with his vacation pictures

We recently stayed here while visiting Washington DC and would stay there again. Room was nice, had a pool on the roof, and is a 10 minute walk to the White House. The parking in the basement was cramped but did not need the car the entire stay. What is really convenient are the restaurants one block away on P street as well as a Whole Foods if you would like to do some grocery shopping. The area felt safe and the staff were friendly. There is a Subway stop a few blocks away as we'll.

Room Tip: Subway a few blocks away as well as plenty of good dining choices one block up on P street was a plus!

We stayed here with our family for 2nights. Hotel is walking distance to many sites. Definitely taxi ride from Washington Union Railway Station. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant but did have pizzas delivered to our room one night (thru the hotel)-very easy and tasty. We picked up supplies for breakfast from nearby Whole Foods store where we were able to take our meal to eat upstairs there.
We booked 2 day Big Bus tour and shuttle just outside hotel took us to Big Bus stop. Staff at the hotel were very helpful with directions and booking transport for us. Our rooms were large and very comfortable. The rooftop pool was simple with little shade-it was hot and humid when we were there.
We enjoyed our short stay.
