Just a super hotel. Staff was excellent. Location perfect for sight seeing. Rooms were very solid, although the lack of a mirror in the bedroom was a little unusual. Only one mirror in bathroom was not very practical

Parking at $50 a night, including tax is a little expensive. There aRe plenty of parking lots in the Area at half that price. Found that out after walking around over the next 24 hours. seems like hotel is taking advantage of people's naïveté of the Area.

Overall though. Loved the hotel

I stayed in this hotel for a 3 day sightseeing trip in July and was very happy with it. It's in walking distance of most of the sights--very close to the White House, Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. The room was very comfortable. I was traveling with my son's family and had a room with two double beds. I understand that there has been a recent renovation and it certainly is a lovely hotel.

There were only 2 complaints--I waited 30 minutes to be waited on at the bar so didn't go back after that. The next night I ordered one in my room and the tab came to $23 with all the add ons. The 2nd complaint is that it seems that in the rooms with 2 beds, they only had double beds--no queen sized beds. But both of those inconveniences would not keep me from recommending this hotel.

Can't fault this place on any measure! Nice, clean, roomy room. Good value. Two blocks from National Mall. Lottsa restaurants of all budget ranges within two blocks. Would highly recommend. The less pricy restaurants nearby are actually better than the more expensive ones.

My stay has been enjoyable. This hotel is located conveniently close to the National Mall and all Smithsonian museums. If you love a good sight, you can easily catch sunrise or sunset at the Washington monument and safely get back to the hotel. The room was standard nothing to rave about for a Marriott. The staff was excellent and always helpful when I had a question. Special thanks to Adrian at the front desk who was so patient with me at check in, he was the best!!

My biggest concern when travelling (for pleasure) to a big city is getting a hotel in an ideal location. I think this hotel is probably the best located in the city...steps from the White House and same for most of the free museums (Smithsonians) and across the street from the historic Willard Hotel - also close to Macy's and other big name stores. Only other area that looked desirable was around 7th street and E. A lot of restaurants in that area.

Hotel is what you would expect from a Marriott - clean and everything you need except for free WiFi...always irks me when hotels don't offer free Wifi...though don't know if other hotels in city do.

For those who haven't been to DC in the summer - it is really, really hot!! Bring loose clothing!

Room Tip: Ask for a good room. We did not have a great view but didn't ask!

Easily located, within walking distance of the Mall with the Washington Monument, Vietnam Memorial, Lincoln memorial, WWII memorial and many others. The entrance is beautiful with large crystal chandeliers. The staff is phenomenal, welcoming and ever so helpful. This is the best staff I've ever noticed in a hotel, even remembering my room number and name at the front desk. The room we were in had a magnificent view of the Washington Monument, the snacks in the room were well stocked, the room was large and comfortable. The dinners at the hotel during the conference were delicious, well served and well labeled as far as nutritional values.

Not too much to say about this well located, large convention hotel.
Standard Marriott in almost every way.
However, a word of caution:
Someone (most likely in "revenue enhancement") has placed the always annoying trip wired selection of overpriced snacks immediately by the desk phone on a small surface adjacent to the desk. (Others are crowded in a mini fridge with almost no free space...very unfriendly)
It is almost impossible to ignore the unattractive display of junk which looks like a mini set of (expensive) bowling pins, and it is quite difficult to avoid unintentionally knocking over one or more of the items.
Please, somebody who actually must live (temporarily) in a hotel room, inform the management that this is both unwelcome and incredibly annoying.

Room Tip: Some rooms face Pennsylvania Ave with a partial view of the Washington Monument. There are some int...
