We chose the Omni based on reputation, price, and location... Near a Metro stop. The room is comfortable enough... Firm mattresses, decent furnishings, etc. All you'd expect from an Omni. The view? Better to keep the drapes closed! All we could see was the roof of the meeting rooms, covered with air conditioning equipment, and the walls of other parts of the hotel. Somehow, daylight found it's way into the room, but I'm not quite sure how.
Also, there are wide spaces around and under the door, which allow light and sound from the hallway outside to enter the room seemingly unimpeded.
The service is good... Room cleaned and beds made, helpful concierge, easy registration.
The location is good... Metro, restaurants, etc. I guess that's why we had several hundred teenagers there for some kind of conference our last (fortunately) night.More
