Only two nights but from the moment I got out of my cab from DCA I felt welcome, and was warmly received by all staff, from the doorman to the receptionist, to the concierge. A lovely setting near public transportation makes the Shoreham a convenient location from which it is easy to visit the sights of D.C. The gardens of the hotel are delightful and, since they adjoin the breakfast room, in fair weather it is treat to eat of the veranda that overlooks them. I found the service impeccable. My room was well furnished and comfortable even if the gilding on the lily is fading a bit. I would certainly stay again in this historic hotel, the site of Clinton's inaugural ball.More
