Stayed here with a girlfriend for the weekend to get away from NJ/Philly/NY life. This hotel has a great location in DC -about 10-15 mins away from everything important, ie. attractions, monuments. My only gripe was that there wasn't any discounted parking for hotel guests. The garage rate was around $ 40 a night I believe. If you are driving there, look for local free parking. It might be a hassle but it's worth it if you remain vigilant and read all signs. There wasn't much correspondence between myself and management during the stay because there was no need for it. Great rooms, upkeep, and overall stay!

Just stayed here for the 2nd consecutive year visiting DC. Still the best hotel you can book.
Best suites. Amazing bathroom. Great living room. All Class.
Everything is nearby. DC is not that big. Metro is close. Georgetown is close.
If you need, taxis are always waiting.

Best in Class.

Room Tip: Go for the suite. So roomy. Nicely decorated. M or N street. The whole neighborhood is quiet anyway.

Some others complained about a couple things such as open shower but we thought it was great! We got the average room but it was still top-notch!

We stayed 6 nights in early June. Upon check in, the clerk acknowledged that we prepaid for all six nights. We were subsequently charged again for all six nights. We complained and were told it would be taken care of, of course it wasn't. We complained again and finally it was corrected only to be charged again. We had a rental car and the charges for the parking were confused as well. After speaking to two different managers, all parking fees were removed. We were also promised a newspaper each day, and we never received even the first one. The room was just okay. On the plus side, the housekeeping staff was excellent. Overall, the hotel was really disappointing.

Room Tip: We had a room facing the street (even number) so we had a view of the hotel across the street.

Spent Memorial Day holiday at the Park Hyatt while traveling with friends. When we arrived at the hotel the bell staff promptly assisted us with our luggage. Booked hotel throught the AMEX Fine Resorts & Hotel package. Overall I found the location met my needs and the hotel was worth it thanks to the amenities thru AMEX.

Check-in was efficient except the gentleman was so soft-spoken I couldn't hear most of what he was saying. Room was upgraded to a suite and had a smart, modern design. The best feature was the wall mounted tv which pivoted to view from the suite or bedroom area. Bathroom was large with nice amenities and provided a safe for personal items.

Shane in concierge offered excellent recommendations on places to dine and things to do in the DC area. If you want to visit the Holocaust Museum, make sure you get tickets from the hotel for the exhibit. Also, check in with concierge when they are available because when we touched base with other staff (front desk) they were not as knowledgable with the area as Shane.

We did dine each morning in the Blue Duck Tavern and enjoyed the menu and selection. Service was hit or miss but we were on a weekend getaway so it didn't bother us too much. Same is true for the lounge.

Although we found the staff and service to be average, I did want to mention that I reached out to Mr. Andrew Davidson, General Manager about some service issues and he was quick to repond and very helpful in resolving issues. Overall, I was generally satisfied with my hotel experience at the Park Hyatt Washington and was impressed by the oversight of the GM. As a result, I'm going to stay at a different Park Hyatt later this summer.

We spent 6 nghts here, thanks to the world's best points credit card (Hyatt). Lesson #1 from our experience: get that card. They give you 2 free nights at any Hyatt...and that's before you start accumulating points. Here's what is best about this place: the room service, the pillows, the bathroom (and the vanities you can take home). Here's what's worst: perhaps they could add a little water to their chlorine. It might have enhanced the swimming experience. Our whole room still smells like chlorine. Also, usually when you ask for two beds, you get two doubles. We got two singles. Looks like a college dorm room. Next, you are nowhere near a Metro station. Finally, the breakfast is thoroughly mediocre. I'd recommend crossing the street and getting the full buffet from the competition.

Room Tip: Ask to be closer to N Street than M Street. Much quieter.

Spent five nights, two adjoining rooms. Large executive suite, three rooms-one with dining table, extra large sofa, second with desk and chair, third with king bed. Large bathroom with rain shower, tub, large closet. Adjoining room was two twins, standard room, bathroom. Excellent customer service, from the bellmen, night manager, conceirge, restaurant staff, well trained, service oriented staff. Super clean rooms, bathrooms. Fitness room is small, but ok. Pool was fun for kids, but to small for lap swimming. Good location for walking to Georgetown, and West side of mall/Lincoln memorial, white house or metro 2-3 blocks away. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the street were quiet, minimal street noise. Rooms on the inside of hotel overloo...
