My husband and I had one night in DC to visit our daughter. Kimpton hotels are usually my first choice. The Rouge was nice. We asked for and recieved a complimentry upgrade to an executive suite. The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom, though, had several flaws. The tub had no stopper and the door wouldn't shut all the way. I think it had warped. When brought to the front desk's attention, a mechanic was sent to the room to fix the drain. Service was great as always. The bed was very comfortable, but the view was awful. The large windows looked out onto a small parking lot with lots of dumpters that were emptied at 7:30 in the morning. Breakfast was complimentary with the room rate which was OK. Breakfast consisted of muffins and coffee. Not outstanding but sufficient.
I inadvertantly left a shirt in the closet and called after we had checked out to see if I could get it returned. I am still waiting for a call back. My fingers are crossed.
Overall a nice stay.
Be prepared to pay $40 for parking.
