“Perfect Hotel for visiting Washington DC”

We were reccomended this hotel by "Trailfinders" and full marks to them. The check-in was the speediest and most efficient I have ever found. The hotel a short walk from Dupont Circle made the subway the easiest way of transport; and full advice on its use was given by the desk. Rooms were more than adequate and a bonus was that a "basic" breakfast was in with the room. There are 2 breakfast rooms, one for a FULL American which is not cheap, the other for tose on the offer has cereals, porrige, croissants, brad, coffee etc and is excellent.
All staff were friendly and helpful and we could not be more satisfied with any 4* hotel.
Finally, the deal that Trailfinders offered seemed to be about 10% of the room-cost.

Room Tip: Ask if the upgrade is available, and for breakfast-includud deals

We celebrated our 11th year anniversary in D.C. last week and had such a wonderful expreience at the Palomar Hotel! We were treated just as a VIP would be treated! The front office staff was so courteous, detailed and polite, especially Phillip, the conceirge. He made our trip so much more amazing due to his recommondations on places of interest and restaurants to dine at. Our room was so cool! Loved the modern feel and the purple couch was awesome! The bed was incredibly comfortable and I actually slept better that I have in a long time! Everything was spot on in our minds! We will recommend The Palomar to all of our friends and associates. Thank you Phillip and The Palomar Hotel.

Room Tip: We chose a king suite and recieved an upgrade to a spa king suite upon arrival. The room was amazing...

Have spent 3 nights in the Hotel Palomar with my husband and 8yr old daughter. We were upgraded on arrival to a suite and we have been impressed every day with the hotel and the staff. It is a lovely area with plenty of choices of food. Loved the complimentary happy hour and the staff throughout the hotel were incredible...always helpful and happy and nothing is too much bother. The rooms are very clean and our daughter loved the welcome gift and complimentary cookie and milk each night before bed.
More hotels should be managed like this one!

Stayed here for 4 nights on business. I was upgraded at no charge to a large suite which was huge with two queen beds. The desk area was large - which was good as I worked in my room most nights. Free wifi. I had room service and the food was very good and not expensive. The staff were very friendly and helpful. At the end of my stay they provided me with one of their town cars to take me to a meeting which was nicer than a cab and almost the same price. Outdoor pool with small shady terrace which was nice as it was very hot when I was there. Would go back.

Stayed here for two nights for a wedding in the area. Definitely appreciated the early check-in and the bonus use of the minibar for in-touch members. Staff were friendly and even though the valet parking was expensive it was better than the long walk to alternatives. All in all a good stay. Would return.

We must have stayed in the smallest room in the hotel!!!!!! It was cramped and dark, and the cleanliness was to be questioned as there was a smell from the duvet, smelly feet spring's to mind. As there was no duvet cover (it was a sheet on top and underneath) we slept with just the sheets. The towels were not in the best condition either, I know that everyoune has different standards of cleanliness but given that no one else has stated any problems like this then maybe we just got unlucky with our room? So if going to this hotel stay away from room 332!!!!! Would love to know what rooms the other reviewers stayed in?

Really nice hotel at a decent price. The hotel is very classy yet still remains relaxed and fun. The hotel itself is really beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable with a big bed with a fur runner which makes it feel really glam!

It is in a central position, walking distance to the White House and Georgetown. It's in a really nice area with lots of restaurants and coffee places in the same street or next street over. The area is really nice and I would recommend walking over to Georgetown via the residential area as the houses are really beautiful there.
The staff at the hotel are really friendly, the concierge Philip could not have been more helpful when we were trying to book tickets to Ford’s theatre (Put on your to do list while in Washington!)
There is also a complimentary coffee hour and wine tasting hour every day in the hotel foyer. There is also a pool and a gym! The rooms were also kept so clean and fresh! Really recommend this hotel, we had a really comfortable stay here! Don’t hesitate to stay!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on like a higher floor, there was a wedding while we were there and we were sure we c...
