We stayed at this hotel for one night to attend the Capitol Pride 2014 festivities. Even though there was four of us (husband, myself, son & my mother), we never felt crowded. We didn't have Queen Sized beds but a standard room with double beds...but still, we never felt crowded. We were able to check in early and the wonderful WONDERFUL lady at the check-in desk was so helpful to us. I forgot her name (and I hate that I do) but she was working the Saturday (June 7) shift and we checked in around 12 noon. Valet parking was $46 or you could utilize the self parking for $36. We decided to use Valet parking. The hotel was within walking distance of DuPont Circle and several Metro stations. That evening, they were showing an outdoor movie and served complimentary popcorn and lemonade. Check out was quick. There are 3 ways to do so: 1) use the hotel's television channel 2) call guest services or 3) stand in line. We used option 2. By the way, they did not supply a printed bill but you could request one if needed. We opted to have it sent to our email address.
The only downside, and this is not about the hotel, is that if you choose to walk to DuPont circle, it's fine going down because you're walking downhill...but the walk back can be rather tiresome if you're not much into walking. However, there was another street that we used that didn't seem to have as much of a steep climb...hope this makes sense.
Anyway, we had a great time and would definitely stay there again!

The Hilton is a well appointed hotel on a small hill in the toney Dupont Circle neighborhood. It is actually right next to the Russian embassy. It has all the business amenities but has also a distinctively more relaxed feel than a downtown DC hotel. There are nice outdoor spaces with outdoor lounge furniture, multiple fire pits, and a very nice pool. The front desk staff was very friendly and check in via HHonors was a breeze. I complained about the up-hill walk from Dupont Circle Metro (tip: take the Q-Street exit and you save 4 blocks of walking; it may even be a shorter walk to the Woodley Park/National Zoo Metro - across the bridge over Rock Creek but a nice flat walk); she offered me free WiFi access to make up for it. Nice. The room is comfortable; but what caused a one-star deduction was that the AC unit was extremely loud. Between the (too-warm) down comforter and the AC (i had to set the temp lowe), i didn't sleep too well. The HDTV was nice with more selections available than most (even has the Chinese Phoenix TV channel). Special consideration: this Hilton takes only 40K HHonors points redemption for a free night, the lowest in DC.

Room Tip: Test the AC first when you get to the room! Hopefully there are quieter ones in some rooms.

My first stay at the Washington Hotel was amazing! The accommodations were great and clean, the hotel staff ranging from the front desk clerk, doorman, waiters/waitresses, and room service staff were very polite and extremely HELPFUL! I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Highly recommended from a satisfied customer.

Check in/out process VERY slow. Did not receive a folio in my room so was forced to wait in long line at checkout. Stayed for two nights but did not receive housekeeping service. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Room EXTREMELY noisy. Cheapest, harshest toilet paper of ANY hotel at which I have ever stayed.

this well-placed hotel offers suitable accommodation - nothing special but fine enough. We were disappointed however that the front desk clearly didn't listen to our instructions when we checked in - causing us to have to resolve money over-charged to us when we returned a week later.
this was a very busy hotel with several conferences going on every day, even at the weekend - this had an impact on the lifts - and as there weren't any visible stairs to use, it was frustrating.

the food was expensive in the hotel so we had to go out for breakfast, but as there is a good bagel shop down the road, that was fine.
