This was my first time staying at a Kimpton Hotel and it certainly won't be my last. It's such a shame they don't have any in Australia so I could experience them more often. I was treated like a superstar from the minute I got out of the taxi on arrival.
I was upgraded (due to knowing the secret word of the month) and was given a huge room with 2 windows facing Thomas Circle. It was heavenly after spending the 10 days prior in a small hotel in New York.
My room was always cleaned to such a high standard, the cleaners even leaving me a little note one day to wish me a great stay. Breakfast was lovely and one waitress whose name I didn't get (not a local) was incredibly helpful with advice, super friendly and made a killer Latte!
Wine hour was great as I met lovely people with whom I would not have had the chance to otherwise.
Zentan... oh my goodness, the food was to die for. I absolutely loved it and being restaurant week or month? made it easy to try some amazing dishes.
I hope that there will be a Kimpton in Hawaii soon as I am planning a visit in August and would love to experience it all over again.
Try it people, you will not regret it.More
