This is an excellent place to go if you want to learn about the natural history of the area. There are things for both young and old alike.

Not a bad place to pass a rainy afternoon, just nothing awe inspiring. The most memorable specimen to me was the ivory-billed woodpecker, a bird largely thought to be extinct. Seeing how large this bird was really interesting, and the one thing that really stood out.

This is a great museum with a assortment of neat exhibits, The mounts was great. The layout was done very well, They was able to fit a lot of stuff in a small area and you didn't feel crowded.

We was unable to do the natural trails this visit. The mummy exhibits was great.

This is a place you shold see if you are in the area.
A good assortment of exhibits with something for just about everybody. The price is reasonable and you can browse at your own pace.
A good way to spend a couple of hours and learn something at the same time.

I have visited this museum several times and every time has been a treat. The admission fee is very reasonable for a museum of this quality. The exhibits are all top notch with design work that brings to mind much larger museums or even theme parks! Some of the exhibits are even connected with the Smithsonian Institute. Although Anniston might not be the first place you would think of when you think of natural history museums it is definately a place museum, and natural history, buffs simply must visit.
