Back again for another Anniversary trip and we loved it just as much as the first time two years ago. We stayed in the same cottage #17 and the warmth and charm were beaming from every direction. The king bed is super comfy, the oversized jacuzzi tub is a real indulgence. The ocean view from morning to night is a dream come true for a couple named Shore. See you again, that's for shore!

We stayed in the least expensive of their rooms and thought this was still a wonderful experience. I can only imagine how wonderful their more expensive rooms are. The room waits for you with a half bottle of wine (nice touch) and a fantastic breakfast is included. We had dinner at their restaurant and it was really good. I would definitely stay here again. You can check their website for reservations.

Room Tip: Any room is a good room...

I have stayed twice - both in cabins with jaccuzi tubs, fireplaces and porches overlooking the river and the ocean. It is pure bliss.

Add the excellent breakfast included in the room fee and the really fine dinner, and you have a real deal here. Just don't forget to make reservations for both breakfast and dinner while you are there

Room Tip: All the rooms face the river or the ocean and they post signs so people do NOT walk in front of the...

My Husband and I stayed at the Albion River Inn thankfully for only one night.
I booked there because of the good Tripadvisor reviews. I don’t get it. Yes, the view is spectacular BUT…
I reserved Room/Suite 13 – @ $275/night. I expected much more.
Their website describes the room as
“Elegant and spacious” - not really, the furniture is old rattan or wicker circa 1980. It is an ocean view cottage with a king bed, wood burning fireplace. Their website photo looks great. However, lighting is everything. This room needs drastic updating.
The large bathroom with soaking "tub for two" is GROSS. I attached photos of mold around the so-called soaking tub—circa 1980 & bathroom ceiling. On our departure day, I went to take a shower and it didn’t work. I had to wait 40 minutes for the repair person to arrive. He said, “It will hold, but there is something real wrong with it”. I will give credit the woman I complained to when I checked out. She knocked $55 off the bill and was very gracious.
The private deck offers a wonderful view but not worth $275 plus tax.
Breakfast is included – Service was fine. My husband ordered the tomato basil fritata – he said it was good. I had two eggs over easy w. bacon; the eggs were overcooked.
I should have had a clue The Albion River Inn was not a great place because there is no television in any of the rooms. They say because they want to "create a romantic, relaxing vacation". If only.
Yes, the view is spectacular but certainly not worth the price. Stay somewhere else.

Room Tip: Do not stay in room 13.

This was our first visit to the Albion River Inn. The Inn is located on the bluff overlooking a bay and the ocean. The view is truly the best part of the property. The room we were in was quite large and had a large bathroom. There is a wood burning fireplace which is always nice. The bathroom is in need of updating - dated but very clean. The room had a small refrigerator which is always a plus. We had dinner at the restaurant and everything was good. We especially enjoyed the breakfast in the restaurant since it is only open for the people staying at the Inn. It was pleasant and everyone had a view looking out at the beautiful gardens and the water. Our waiter Connor at breakfast was so nice and we really enjoyed meeting him. We would definitely stay at the Albion River Inn again but hope they consider some updating over the next few years.

Room Tip: Pick a room near the center of the property to have a good view and not hear the road.

We visited on my husband's birthday as part or our tour of the Californian coast. The view was amazing, the room very comfortable. The fog horn was going during the evening but it added a kind of mystical and romantic feel so it didn't disturb us too much. I was miffed because of the lack of a TV - my husband loved this!
