“Wonderful food with beautiful view and sunset”
Reviewed 1 September 2014

Celebrated our wedding anniversary, the restaurant decorated our wine glasses with simple ribbons but made it special. They wished us happy anniversary as we arrived, each server wish us joy on our special day. The service was quick, good but not hovering. The food was fresh and great. Highly recommend the oysters on the half shell, fresh and came with a Thai Chainey that was excellent. The butternut squash soup was very good with ginger and coconut. Each dish had a hint of Thai, very good. I would recommend the grilled prawns with a light lime and chile butter sauce.

“Great view, disappointing food”
Reviewed 1 September 2014

We had high hopes. The view was beautiful, the gentleman who was briefly at the piano lent a nice touch, service was fine. The food was very disappointing. My companion had salmon that was overcooked and not fresh tasting. I had a mushroom risotto that should have been called rice and mushrooms. It did not seem to be made with arborio rice, it was not creamy as risotto should be, and instead of Parmesan stirred in, they melted pieces of Gorgonzola on top, which is not only odd, but overpowered the mushrooms. The salad seemed to be made with grocery store type ingredients, which is a shame in California in August.

“Magnificent view and great food!”
Reviewed 24 August 2014 via mobile

Had a wonderful meal with friends this past weekend. The service was impeccable and the food matched it. Was here several years ago and was equally impressed. It has even gotten better. They have an extensive wine list and quality wines by the glass.

Started out with their steamed mussels, shrimp and clams. They were delicately seasoned and very flavorful. For a main course, I had the grilled shrimp balanced with a fantastic Sauvignon Blanc. It was a great evening.

“Incredible birthday dinner”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

Based on the recommendation of a friend, we planned a camping trip around dinner at the Albion River Inn. Even in jeans and nice shirts, we were not under-dressed. With an early reservation (5:30) we were able to get a window table with a beautiful view of the fog draped coast and the lovely gardens. An extra bonus - the same wonderful waitress we'd had at Cafe Beaujolais the day before - this is her night job - and made us feel right at home. Wonderful chicken marsala and the most incredible grilled prawns in a lime and cilantro sauce. Probably one of the best dishes I've ever had. Top it off with the honey tangerine cheese cake and you couldn't ask for a better birthday dinner!

“Fun after dinner bar”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

We stopped for dessert and cocktail - next time will have dinner too! The energy and friendliness of the staff made this the perfect close to our evening. The bartender, Laurie, was welcoming and friendly and so knowledgeable - suggesting a perfect Scotch to go with our dessert - which was a fabulous lemon blackberry tart. Cozy, romantic, warm and friendly - made us feel like old friends.
