“Nice hotel convenient to Disney”
Reviewed 28 August 2011

This is a well maintained and managed hotel. It is older like most of the area hotels, but for the price we paid it was 1/3 of the Disney hotels, and just about the same walking distance from the parks. Staff was nice and competent, no surprises. Room was clean and bed was newer no-beadspread, just a drape over the foot of bead. We got a "free" upgrade upon request because they were at low capacity. Got a Mickey themed room with a partial view near the Matterhorn. Excellent view of the fireworks and Tinkerbell. We stayed 5 nights and would stay there again. Highway noise did come in through the bottom of the door which had a gap, but we use a noise machine to sleep anyway.
Ate breakfast once in the little canteen and it was OK. Gift shop was convenient for sundries etc. Parking (with a fee) is not guaranteed, so if you try and find a spot later than 8 or 9 pm you could be in for a hassle. Security seemed good, guard always on duty. Fast elevator was nice. Nicely landscaped.
Side note: we have stayed at all 3 Disney hotels and the price paid is too high for the surly staff and high fees.

Room Tip: Higher floors and view rooms are best.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night while visiting Disneyland and were very impressed. The hotel was well priced and is located just across the road from the entrance to Disneyland. This was very handy after spending a long day out at Disneyland. We stayed in a resort view room which was spacious and clean.

Would stay here again if visiting Disneyland!

I booked this hotel because it is a Marriott and it's proximity to Disneyland. My granddaughter, age 6, and I stayed 2 nights. The first night she was bit by fleas and in the morning, there was a tick on her head. I called and the hotel tried to convince me that the tick/fleas could not have come from the room because they have pest control and charge $250 for pets. In fact, they caught 2 families who had lepta dogs at the hotel last week without paying. The moved me to another room. The locks on the door were very poor and I inquired about my items being safe and was assured that they would be. The manager came into my room after I left and went through it to ensure there were no other problems. But no one could tell me who had been in my room even though I asked repeatedly. I found out when I asked to see the manager again the following morning. Their air conditioners are terrible!!! They drip, are loud, run cool to lower the temp and then try to maintain the temp with the heater! Result, hot and cold all night. I will not stay here again. The location was not worth the headache!

If you are after a hotel a hop , skip and a jump from Disneyland/California Adventure you need look no further ! It is actually so close that during the evening closing fireworks you can't hear the TV ! Also the screams from the Tower of Terror were fairly disconcerting at first (but after going on myself completely understandable !) The in house pizzaria and pool were of a good standard , the staff pleasant and friendly, Was undergoing major refurb when we were there so could be even better now. Can't fault location !!

Room Tip: Request ground floor , near pool !

I stayed here for 3 nights just to visit disneyland. Not even a 5 minute walk to the parks. Rooms were big, spacious and clean. The only thing with my room I had trouble getting the tv to work which didnt bother me I'm not on holidays to watch tv any way. Most nights after a big day the bed was so comfy would be asleep in no time. I never went in the pool but did look very nice.

Our first stay here and it was mostly good. The room was small for all of us and our luggage. The bathroom as standard and smallish. The beds were clean and comfortable. I guess the best thing is its location to Disneyland & McDonalds. Its great not to have to park and take the tram to Disney/California Adventure. Being that we visited at the peak of the season, it was very easy to wake up early and walk over to Disneyland to get an early start on the day. If you like convenience, you cant beat it. If you are looking for luxury, keep looking.

Room Tip: If you are traveling with a large group, request adjoining rooms. So much fun and easier.
