“Very comfortable and convenient”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 March 2012

My family of four (my mom, dad, older teenage brother and me) has stayed here many times before and we all agree it is a great hotel. It is easy to access places for meals, with nearby restaurants like Millie's and Mimi's (family dining) and McDonald's.
It is only a five minute walk to Disneyland, and actually has a good view of the fireworks, the Tower of Terror, Space Mountain, the monorail and more from balconies on higher floors.
The room itself was spacious, clean, and provided a safe haven for us after a long day in the park. I liked the big HD TV (which had Disney Channel, therefore satisfying my needs) personally. It was a quiet room and I slept well each night. There was also an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, which was nice.
Overall a great and convenient hotel for families.

Being a local Angeleno with family in town we didn't want to drive back and forth to Anaheim on a weekend and opted for a hotel across from Disneyland. We traveled as a couple and HIGHLY recommend this hotel/motel as an option of staying at the actual Disney resort. Why? The grand California Hotel was charging around $450 per night on a weekend for a basic room and here it was around $159. We love a 5 star hotel experience and the Grand California likes to pretend its 5 star when its just a dressed up basic hotel with Disney characters plastered in the rooms ( NOT WORTH IT) The hotel is across the street and it took us about 7 minutes to get to the front gate of Disney on foot.
The room we stayed in was clean, looked pretty remodeled and the beds were comfortable as were the linens. If we had to do another weekend out here and do this again we would definitely save hundreds of dollars by staying here.
There is plenty of food options out the door of the hotel, nothing good all basic Americana chain type places but for the average family it's perfect.

Travelling with 2 kids (6 & 9 years) plus 3 adults, the Fairfield hotel provided us with a clean safe & reasonable sized room. To be honest you only sleep in it so you don't need a big room. We had 2 beds plus sofa pullout & it was great. It was a quick 3 min walk to crossing to Disneyland & much better than staying at any of the Disney hotels for easy access. We were considering Disney hotels but once we saw the location of both I'm so glad we picked the Fairfield.
Free wi fi was great too. Beds & pillows very comfy & no noise problems. Would highly recommend this hotel if position & cleanliness is your main priorities. Didn't have time to use pool so really facilities when going to Disneyland shouldn't be your priority.

Room Tip: High up for less noise & away from lifts

We stayed at the Fairfield for 2 nights for our 1-day visit to Disneyland with our 2 children. We only slept at the hotel. Like many other hotels along this road, it is very close to the maingate of Disneyland. It took 5 minutes to get to the maingate. In addition to the Millie's restaurant and the McDonalds, there is a Mimi's Cafe next door. We went there the first night when we arrived at the hotel. We stayed in a Disney-themed room that did not face the park. This didn't matter to us because we were at Disney for the fireworks. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would stay at the Fairfield again for future Disneyland trips.

Short walk to Disneyland, super helpful staff, and many places to eat in or close to the hotel. This is the perfect place to stay for your Disneyland vacation!

Very good family oriented hotel. Pizza Hut on 3rd Floor (?). Less than 5 minutes walk to Disneyland entrance. Rooms were very clean and quiet. Staff were very attentive. Hotel was full of Australians when I stayed there (must have been the good exchange rate). 40mins drive from LAX airport. Within walking distance of restaurants.

Recommend you hang around the pool and don't go to Disneyland until after lunch. The pool is empty until after 2pm when people start coming back from Disneyland,

They do have washing machines onsite.

Room Tip: aim for a room higher up so you get better views.

My daughters and I stayed two nights. The front desk staff were ok...housekeeping staff was great. They put us facing Disneyland which was great for viewing the fireworks the 1st nite we were there. Rooms were clean, beds very comfortable. The pizza hut on the 3rd floor was great. mcDonalds and Millie's on site. Millies great food lousy staff. Disney entrance 5 ..10 minute walk.
