Myself and my family traveled from Canada to visit Disney Land. I communicated a few times via email with the hotel. I felt as if the hotel would not be a great experience as the email correspondence was not very helpful at all. However, my stay was excellent. We did not have to communicate with the front desk very often so I really cannot speak with regards to this. I can say however that the housekeeping is top knotch. Each day on our return our room was spotless. I felt they did things that were not even necessary. IE: removed our clothes from the bed, made the bed, placed the clothes neatly back on the bed. We were always stocked with soap, shampoo etc. Housekeeping was the best I have ever seen. The folks at the front parking cars were very pleasant and helpful. They genuinely appeared happy and were always there to answer a quick question, call a cab, etc. The location is AMAZING. Some people stated it is 11-12 minute walk to Disney. I had two small kids with me and it was not 11-12 minutes. Maybe 5-6. It's like 3 minutes to the cross walk, and than another couple of minutes to the entrance. Maybe all of us were more excited and walked a little faster. I dunno. Regardless it's an absolute excellent location. Disney is literally across the street. You can see the fireworks from the hotel, you can also see some of the taller rides. The on site pizza hut has a super small menu. We only ate there once. It's not like other pizza huts I have ate at, nor did it taste the same. I would suggest eating else ware. Millie's restaurant is right next door. Like 30 seconds away. Delicious food and amazing service. I would definitely consider the Fairfield if travelling to Disney. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Request a high room facing Disney so you can see the fireworks. Even if you cant get one, no big dea...

We just returned from a 3 day stay at the fairfield inn while visiting Disneyland with toddler and a baby. The hotel is close to Disneyland (12 minute walk with 2 kids). Rooms were clean and staff was friendly.

I gave the hotel 4 stars instead of 5 because there is no microwave in the room (needed for to warm up baby formula) and when we checked out this morning the valet guy forgot to tell his coworker during shift change that we were waiting for our car, which was very annoying since we were waiting outside with a toddler and baby.

The Fairfield Inn is about one city block from a Disneyland entrance, directly next door to a McDonald's, and a block from the best IHOP we've ever visited. The third floor of the Inn has carry-out restaurants, including Pizza Hut. The rooms are comfortable and extremely clean, at a fraction of the cost of an in-the-park hotel. This all adds up to CONVENIENCE and VALUE, which might make affordable a trip to Disneyland that would otherwise be out of a family's reach. Last, but not least, someone who hadn't driven to the park would never know the Fairfield Inn is just off I-5. The rooms are that soundproof.

Great staff and location. It's an 11 minute walk to the front gates of Disney. But....get your tickets when you check in. It will save you an hour in line at the park. Nice pool and a Pizza Hut and macDonalds on site.

We spent 7 nights at the Fairfield Inn. It was packed of course (Holiday Season) so I was thankful we were given our requested connecting rooms. We ended up on the bottom floor and I immediately assumed it would be noisy, but thankfully that was not the case. The hotel is really big and a little impersonal but we were hardly there anyway.

The rooms were very clean, the beds very comfortable. The maid service was awesome, except they don't automatically replenish the shampoo, conditioner or lotion. I had to ask for that. The coffee was good and that was restocked each day.

There is no complimentary breakfast, no microwave in the rooms, and the fridge they do provide is TEENY TINY so don't expect to stock much in there. Maybe a 6 pack of pop or beer but that would fill it up. I was thankful for the two rooms, we were able to use both fridges. Not having a microwave was disappointing. We didn't want to have to buy breakfast each day. We resorted to buying a loaf of bread, a jar of peanut butter and a jar of jelly from a small store down the road. There is a pizza place that serves some breakfast items in the mornings and they sell some milk and juice on the 3rd (4th?) floor, but again, we didn't want to have to buy breakfast every morning so that was a pain.

For some reason our room in particular had a terrible whirring or whistling sound through the door every night. It was horribly annoying. I wear earplugs and it woke me on a few occasions.

We never used the pool. We stayed at the parks too late each night! :)

So in a nutshell, if you don't mind not having a microwave, much of a fridge, or amenities, then this is a good place to stay. It's only a 5 minute walk to the gates, the rooms are clean, the beds comfy. There are restaurants nearby for breakfast (Millie's was actually reasonably priced and had good food) but if you're like us, you want to just get up and GO! Being able to eat in the room is plus if you can.

Probably would choose another hotel next time, but that's just us.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the park so you can see the fireworks!

My family (DH, me, and two kids) stayed here for 2 nights using points during the weekend before Christmas. The hotel lobby was nice and the service from the front desk, bellman, and valet was excellent. I'm silver level so we automatically got upgraded to a "princess" themed room on the 6th floor with fireworks view. We were also at the end of the hall so not much foot traffic which helped keep the noise down. The room was nicely decorated and a good size but not big. We barely fit all our stuff, suitcases, playpen, and stroller in there without having having to maneuver around everything. The sink was outside the bathroom which made it difficult for me to get ready and put my makeup on while the kiddos slept in. The hotel is within half-mile of the park entrances which was great. There is a pizza hut/breakfast/coffee place on the 3rd floor and a gift shop in the lobby which both were convenient. McDonalds right in front of the hotel. We also spent 6 nights at the Disney Paradise Pier and though the Marriott was very nice, the Disney hotel was better. Of course the Disney hotel is 2-3x the price so it should be nicer, but comparing the Marriott to other hotels we've stayed at offsite, it is one of the best. If we have a smaller vacation budget I would not hesitate to stay at the Marriott Fairfield Inn again.

This was my family's second time staying at this hotel and I feel like they deserve a review from me. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends!

The hotel is no frills, but completely adequate and exceeds expectations for this type of lodging.

The rooms are a good size. Many of them are adjoining to accommodate families as well. The rooms are also immaculately kept - so clean and fresh smelling. Beds seem new and replaced as appropriate. The staff is also efficient and accommodating. For me, this is all you can ask for across from Disneyland. Nothing posh or fancy, but perfect for a stay with little kids. Only about a 10-minute walk to the parks, as well.
