Fairfield Inn by Marriott Anaheim Resort
Ranked #27 of 118 Hotels in Anaheim
Reviewed 25 January 2014

Our 5th stay at the Fairfield Inn and each time we stay for 10 to 14 days.
We appreciate the short 10 minute walk to the Disneyland gates.
We have stayed in various rooms over the years and have never had a problem with noise (apart from the Disneyland fireworks, of course!!!)
The beds are super comfortable and there is plenty of room for the 4 of us to share the room.
The rooms are always clean and the staff friendly.
The Pizza hut / coffee shop on the 3rd floor is convenient however we love eating at Millies which you pass on the way ‘home’ from Disneyland.
The citrus water in the lobby is a nice touch as are the microwaves and toasters on the 3trd floor which is available for guest use 24 hours a day.
There are a couple of computers available for guest use in the lobby and the free wi-fi available in your room, which worked well for our entire stay.
There is a small mini-mart at the Tropicana hotel (you pass on your way to Disneyland) where you can buy milk, bread and basic needs….the prices are overinflated but it is ok. There is also a small 7-11 supermarket which is about a 10 to15 minute walk away (corner South Harbor bld and West Katella) where you can pick up fruit, snacks, water (and just about anything else), again prices aren’t cheap but convenient.
On each of our visits we have come straight from LAX using the super shuttle. We have never had any problems with this service and each time we have arrived well before check-in time (anywhere from 8am to 11am) and yet we have always been given our room without having to wait (note…this is always early December so may be different in peak times!) Check-in and check-out has always been super efficient and fast!
This is not a 5 star hotel, but it is comfortable and convenient and has suited our needs each time we stay.
We will return!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was very nice. An easy 10 minute walk to Disneyland, eateries and shops. We stayed here for the Tinkerbell race and the little market upstairs was very handy to pick up my pre-race breakfast so I didn't have to hassle with finding a grocery store. We were able to see Disneyland fireworks from our room. Self parking is quite limited, so we parked the car once and walked everywhere. Our overall experience was good, but the room was a bit overpriced even with an online deal.

What can I say we weren't disappointed. Fantastic hotel. We stayed for six nights. Housekeeping took care of our room everyday even when we asked for light housekeeping. Laundry facility was great I have younger children. Location was perfect we could go to Disneyland and walk back and forth to park all day if needed. Resturants close by are not the good. Other then the regular chains. We ate at Disneyland. The pizza hut onsite was convienent.

Room Tip: Stay on higher floor facing Disneyland you can see everything

Really enjoyed staying here for one night during a Disneyland trip.

Hotel was close to the park entrance, definately in walking distance (10-15 minutes) if you want to avoid parking fees at the park (since you're paying $11/night to park at the hotel).

Front desk agent was nice and handled the reservation quickly which was great since we didn't check in till after midnight.

Room was extremely clean, small bathroom, shower had great water pressure, room was quiet. Loved the disney photos on the wall :) Bed comfort level was average, loved the number of pillows on each bed.

There is a coffee shop in the hotel which is great for the caffine fiend in me. Valet was rather quick.

I would definatley stay here again and it will be the first hotel I look up when I come back to Disneyland next month (ah, the joys of an annual pass!).

Room Tip: We were on the second floor, parking lot side, and it was very quiet.

We arrived very early and were able to get a room before 8 in the morning...all kinds of activity in the lobby, buses leaving families leaving for Disney and people checking out.
The room was a nice surprise, I was expecting something alttle run down being so close to the park but it seems to have been newly renovated. Room were clean and modern with lovely bed and good quality linens and towels. What I didn't like was that they put the vinyl mattress covers on the beds (for good reason I guess) but I found it very hot to sleep.
The room had a connecting room which would be nice for families. They had the usual ironing board coffee maker (no tea!) small fridge but no micro wave
There was lots of parking and they do offer valet parking too...
This hotel doesnt offer the free breakfast like others in the chain but does have a Pizza Hut that does a breakfast. Found it was very expensive and should have gone to the McDonald's in the parking lot or Millies next door..
The hotel is set up with the open "balcony" walkway outside the door and it was very noisey in the morning with people leaving a hauling suitcases and kids and buses idleing below.......
The main gates to the park are just 10 minutes walk from here and you can actually see the fireworks very clearly from the 8th floor, Nice Nice Nice.....

Room Tip: even with all the noise from the parking lot the otherside of the hotel has the freeway so....choose...

We stayed here several years ago on our last visit and liked it enough to return. As Marriott Rewards members, we prefer to stay at a Marriott property and this place fits the bill. Located along Harbor Blvd. between S. Manchester and Disney Way, this block is packed with hotel options that are very convenient to Disneyland (We have also stayed at the Best Western which is reasonable for the price but we prefer the Fairfield.) While other hotels may claim they are walking distance to Disneyland the hotels on this block are truly the closest off property places you can stay at.

We travelled as a family of five and booked two adjoining rooms to have a little extra room and a second bathroom. As we drove in, there was quite of bit of pedestrian and vehicle traffic but we were able to efficiently park (valet), unload, and check-in. We were assigned rooms 918 and 917, on the upper floor of a wing that faces the freeway. Except for freeway noise, we enjoyed the location of the rooms (a little longer walk but quieter as far as “people noise” from neighbors or the corridor.)

Dining nearby includes McDonald’s, Millie’s Kitchen (Denny’s type fare, pretty good and reasonably priced, efficient service), and Mimi’s Café (continental cuisine in a nice atmosphere, food is very good).

Pros – short walking distance to Disneyland, staff provides good service for a hotel in this category. Rooms are pretty spacious. Nice view of Disneyland and California Adventure from the upper floors that face Harbor Blvd (since they are exterior corridors you can enjoy the view even if your room is not located there.) Great view of fireworks at night. Rooms in good condition and clean. We thought we may have forgoten an item in one of the rooms and left a phone message for lost and found. Within a day we received a pleasant call back confirming nothing was located. Other places we have stayed at treat lost and found requests as a last priority item.

Cons – rooms that face I-5 have noise from the freeway. Parking is tight and you have to pay (but at least valet is included in $11/day surcharge). Disney décor in rooms feels like more of an afterthought – not everything matches.

Room Tip: Get a floor as high as possible, rooms facing the freeway are quieter from "people noise"...
