“Mixed feelings”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 January 2014

It is a very clean hotel, that, for me it is the most important issue. Is there something to complain? As a matter of fact, no. But, Marriot hotels are usually more luxury than this one. So, I was a little disappointed. There are only two thing that I would like to underline. When I booked this hotel, it was said that the hotel was located very near Disneyland. It is not so near. Manly when you come back from Disneyland in the evening (and children are extremely tired). But, there is a bus ( US$ 5 for adults and US$ 3 for children for a 24 hours pass) people can use. The last thing: people from the room service are lazy. In the evening, when you order something, you have to wait at least one hour.

We stayed here on our first night in the United States after a day at Disneyland. The hotel is very large and impersonal and the staff were polite but unwilling to provide any genuine service or assistance. Our request for a rollaway bed was met with a perfunctory "certainly sir,we will see what we can do" it never arrived. We have been Marriott fans for years but this hotel does not live up to the standard that we have experienced in the past. My advice - save some money and stay somewhere cheaper - you certainly won't do any worse.

Room Tip: Don't book through a third party (such as expedia) The hotel gave us grief over our booking and...

I was at a convention at this hotel in July. They have a nice restaurant, but a little expensive. It's in walking distance to other restaurants and Disneyland. The room was nice, nothing special, but clean. The concierge staff was helpful and very pleasant. I didn't get a chance to use the pool but my roommate said it was nice and you could order food and drinks poolside. They also have great transportation in Anaheim! You can catch a bus to Disneyland or the outlet mall, the drivers are very helpful and will answer any questions you gave about getting around.

The hotel is not bad, but unfortunately it's pretty much "average" in every aspect. The pool is very small and packed (as the hotel is huge). There is a Starbucks, but it closes at 6pm (so early). Disneyland is within walking distance, but only for an ADULT. If you have kids (up to 5-6 years old) it may be hard to walk to/from the Disneyland Parks. So, the bus would be the best option. A great "con" in this hotel are the beds!! Really hard and gave me "neck pains"! So, after an entire day walking in the parks, do not expect to have a great night of sleep here. Also, as we have a 4-year-old son, we opted for two beds and they are really, really small. It's very hard for two adults to sleep in the Marriott Anaheim bed. One thing shall be said: the hotel smells great!!

Stayed with family for 5 nights to visit Disneyland. Hotel was fine but nothing special. Used the pool once but found it crowded and not especially nice. Room was average. One day we returned from Disneyland at 11pm to discover our room had not been made up, no toilet paper or clean towels. Difficult as our kids 9 and 6 were cranky and ready to sleep. A call to housekeeping did have clean towels and toilet paper delivered. I followed up with front desk in am and received apology and credit for coffee shop. Average but not as memorable as other Marriott hotels.

just got back from five days here, the property is nice and seems to have been recently renovated.
-rooms are nice but a bit small, there was room for a club chair but it was missing
-staff was helpful and friendly
-as it was new years it was very busy, the starbucks in the lobby was always a long wait
-breakfast restaurant was good, stick to the cold buffet as it was good enough unless you want eggs and bacon/sausage
-the pool is where things are a bit dated, there is a permanent roof that covers half of the pool that is unsightly.
-the hottub smelled like body odor
-the gym was spacious and had a lot of equipment, I used it twice and never had to wait for equipment
-as the hotel is on the block south of disney it was pretty convenient though taking ART is recommended as the walk can be long after a long day

-overall we were happy with the hotel though I wish the pool area were nicer and the rooms a bit bigger

Room Tip: we thought a north facing room would allow us to see the park but the Hilton blocks the way, we got...

The hotel was pretty good. It was clean and adequate for a two night stay to see the two Disney parks. The front desk though was a pleasant surprise! They really went out of their way to make it easy for us and it was appreciated. I actually felt like they cared about us as individuals and they guy who checked us in wrote us a personal thank you note when we left! What a great personal touch! I found out we both graduated from U of A the same year when we checked in so Bear Down and Go Cats! And thanks again. Another recommendation is to get the daily shuttle pass as if you have small kids... the half mile walk past the homeless guy at the local bus station can get to be a bit more than you want. But excellent lobby service and staff! Great place to stay if you are not looking to spend $500/night at the Grand (we stayed here twice previously). Now that my brother and I are older 22 and 24, the walk did not bother us or my parents. Oh and the hot chocolate in the lobby is also a nice touch!
