Owner description: The premise behind the creation of K1 Speed was to offer enthusiasts and amateurs alike an authentic and genuine racing experience in a safe, comfortable, accessible and perhaps most importantly, unique environment. Utilizing advanced European electric karts and indoor asphalt tracks, K1 Speed quickly developed a reputation as being fun and exciting, and our growth has been continuous since we first opened our doors. In addition to our Arrive and Drive racing option, which allows individuals to visit our indoor karting centers anytime and experience the thrill of racing, we also offer racing leagues and a variety of packages for corporate events and group parties, which have proven quite popular. To meet the needs of customers and kart racing enthusiasts who demand more, we also have a Pro Shop - K1 Race Gear - which carries everything that a karter might need to compete at the track. At K1 Speed, our goal is to be synonymous with karting, and we think that we are on our way!

“Great attraction but terrible employees!”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

The facility and attraction is amazing. That itself is a 10. But the employees are a 0. The employees are uninterested and have a sense of arrogance. They chat in groups and seemed bothered when they need to interact with the paying customer. They are very reactive instead of being proactive. They are so slow with no sense of urgency!! K1 has a great product but the employees need a lot of training and realize that the customers are paying their wages. No wonder that they were empty on a Sunday. My son and his cousin were racing by themselves. There was a junior racer riding all 3 of his races completely by himself which was kind of sad.

“Go carts on steroids”
Reviewed 24 October 2013

This place offers go cart racing and that's pretty much it. On busy days you can expect to wait a long time before your first race. But after that, you can go on repeat runs relatively quickly. You can pay for a number of races in a package of your choice up front. And whatever you don't use will carry forward to future visits.

These go carts are fast. They can go as fast as 45 mph, so be prepared to stay in control. That's quite fast for an indoor racetrack with tight turns. You'd expect to need to sign a disclaimer at a place like this, but you need to take things seriously. I can push things to the edge, and for a middle aged man, perhaps I shouldn't have gone all out. You will get rigid roll bars rather than comfortable padding, so I went home with more than my share of bruising.

This place has racing themed decorations, and the only thing I found objectionable was a floor to ceiling cigarette ad disguised as a racing poster. It was literally billboard sized. I didn't think that was appropriate for a family venue and I'm not sure if it was even legal. It had no warning label.

“speed speed speed”

It was a fun experience, you go and get your "license" wait to be called and then you are free to go! These little cars will go pretty fast so be careful.

We had a birthday over there in and the place is fun and everyone had a great time. There are smaller cars for the little ones. The staff are professional and friendly.
