We stayed here in November and were happy with the stay. We enjoyed the extra hour of park time, the short walk to both parks, and the view. We had a perfect view of California adventure from our room which looked spectacular at night. We also enjoyed watching the disneyland fireworks from the balcony at the end of our hallway. The rooms are clean, beach themed and could sleep five comfortably. There is also a small fridge in the room. It's by no means a 'luxury' property, but a good choice if what you're looking for is convenience at a lower price than the other two disney properties. My only complaints are small- they did not have any bottled water in the room - free or for sale, and it would be nice to have a starbucks or coffee stand in the lobby.

I love Disneyland Resorts and the Paradise Pier is the last one on my list to try out. We stayed for one night November 23rd and loved it. I arrived early to the hotel and they were happy to give me my room right away. With the self parking fee of only $15/night, I went ahead and parked myself. I handed them my credit card and ID, then we proceeded to the room on the 10th floor.

I don't go to Disneyland for the view unless I'm staying more than three nights. We were given a city view room, which meant it overlooked the roof pool area and Simba parking. The room was spacious and was a 2 double bed with a sofa bed, TV, desk, fridge, safe, and of course, closet and restroom. For 4 to 6 people, it would be crowded, but everyone could sleep comfortably in one room. For my husband and I, it was great.

The pro's of the room:
-Clean
-Roomy
-Safe and fridge
-Coffee and shower items provided
-comfy beds

Cons:
-wallpaper peeling issues
-We didn't realize that the window was open when we came in
-Thin walls

We loved the stay overall, though. As we walked down the hall to the elevators, we could hear everything anyone was doing as we passed their door. Still, it was a great stay for Disneyland and a short walk through the Grand Californian to get the parks. Downtown Disney was just a walk away, too.

Room Tip: Ask for a high level floor if you prefer views. Make sure you request the park view if you want i...

Was surprised for my birthday with a concierge's room that over looked CA. The room was nothing spectacular, your general hotel room. The concierge's lounge was good with lots of different snacks to eat during the day. The amazing part was the view of the part. We were on the 14th floor and was able to see most of what was going on during our visit. The view of the World Of Color (the winter show) was great. It is one thing to see it at ground level - as Disney knows how to put on a show, but it is completely different to see it from above. When you look at the show from above you can see the technical aspects of the show. This was fascinating. We watched the show probably 3 times from our room, with the audio from the TV that is timed perfectly.

We stayed here in October and overall were very pleased with our stay. We checked in at night and the front desk was very pleasant and gave my daughter a signed picture of princess Aurora which put a big smile on her face. We parked in the front of the hotel and unloaded our luggage there and then parked our car in the lot right behind the hotel. I thought it was convenient and we could just enter through the back entrance of the hotel. They did offer valet service as well which was more expensive. The lobby is nice with a statue of Goofy holding a surfboard which the kids liked. On the first level right behind the statue is a lounge where you can get drinks and bar food, a Disney store where they had plenty of souvenirs and their main restaurant, PCH Grill (definitely recommend the character breakfast in the morning. It was a lot of fun!). On the other side towards the back entrance is a beach themed rooms where kids can watch Disney cartoons 24x7 and an arcade. As for rooms, they were very spacious and had a beach theme. The kids loved the beach ball pillows. The beds were very comfortable and we had a view of the pool which the kids liked as well. The pool was great, but not very large. I would imagine that it can get pretty crowded during the summers, but it was fine when we went. The slide was a lot of fun and they also had a little kid (1 ft) wading pool along with the main pool and decent sized spa. They also have a pool bar with a server who comes around to take your order.

In terms of the walk to the park, you can go out the front or side entrance and go down to the stop light to cross the street and go through the Grand Californian Hotel. Once in the hotel, you can either walk out to Downtown Disney to get to the front entrance of the parks or use the hotel's special entrance to get into California Adventure Park. I would estimate the walk to the front entrance was about 10-15 mins depending on how fast your kids walk.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels and pay the least amount (still expensive compared to hotels across the street on S. Harbor Blvd which are actually closer to the front entrance).

We stayed in October 2013. After a long day at Disneyland and California Adventure, it was so nice to be able to walk a short distance back to our hotel. We didn't even use our car the four days that we stayed! The hotel staff were so friendly and nice. We were fortunate to be "upgraded" to a view of California Adventure, and it was wonderful to see at night! My children loved seeing California Adventure light up at night. We were so busy with Disneyland, that we didn't get to enjoy the amenities, but they looked lovely! The room was clean, beds comfortable, and the housekeeping does a great job! The elevators were very slow, but that is my only complaint. P.S. The restaurant downstairs makes THE BEST margaritas ( and after a day at the park with four children, trust me they much needed)

Room Tip: Ask for a view of California Adventure

We decided to take an overnight trip to Disneyland and wanted to stay close to the park so we could walk back and forth.
The only room type left on short notice was a park view concierge room with a fabulous view of California Adventure.
I think they need to work with their valet parking attendants because no one was around when we pulled up and we were not sure what was going on.
But check in was quick, easy and efficient. Our room was ready so we were able to take advantage of early entry to Disneyland.
The concierge lounge was great and we had a nice continental breakfast the next morning before we left.

Room Tip: Be sure to get a park view room on a higher floor if you can.

Being huge Disney fans, I was keen to stay at both the Grand Californian and the Paradise Pier hotel. (We have previously stayed at the Disneyland Hotel) We stayed at the Paradise Pier Club Level for 4 nights after an 8 day stay at the Grand Californian. Whilst a pleasant hotel, it does not compare to the Grand Californian in terms of convenience and cost. The Paradise Pier was around two thirds of the cost of the Grand Californian a night. If you can manage the cost stay at the Grand Californian.

Club Level was good, but not exceptional. The room is quite dull, with no outside windows and only a skylight. In comparison to the Grand Californian, the pool was disappointing. The room was a reasonable size, but the sinks were inside the bathroom/toilet area. This meant that in the mornings, we needed more time to get ready, as only one person could use the bathroom at a time. The beach ball pillow left on our bed had a dirty brown mark on one side, which was unappealing.

The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful as they are at every Disneyland Resort I've visited.

Overall, whilst a nice hotel, it doesn't have the "disney magic" that the Grand Californian and Disneyland Hotel have. For my family, the next time we visit Disneyland, if we can't afford to stay at the Grand Californian we will stay down the road at the Howard Johnson Anaheim.
