“Rooms with a twist and some quirks”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013 via mobile

This is not the worst hotel we've stayed at around Disneyland and it certainly is not the best either. You could definitely do worse.

What we liked:
- Neat rooms with a separate room for the extra bed
- Proximity to Disneyland
- Bathroom and countertop surfaces of granite
- The bed was awesome
- Tangerine was decent enough

What we didn't like:
- Carpet was way beyond worn and needed replacement
- Bathroom area was tight when getting ready in the morning with everyone needing to be in the same area
- No exhaust fan in the bathroom and after a shower everything was wet from steam
- Bathroom window's screen was grossly covered in dust
- Parking spots were very tight, sometimes, even though there was a spot available it just wasn't possible to put our Honda Odyssey in there
- View out the back was a not so pleasant area of the Hilton conference center next door
- At one point we thought there was an earthquake, but alas, it was only the maid cart being pushed down the upstairs corridor
- Walls are a bit thin
- We ran out of Kleenex in our room and it was never replaced by housekeeping

Beyond that, it was a pleasant stay and we would go back.

I researched all the hotels within walking distance to Disney and chose Anabella for room suitability and price. Quick check in and found room easily. We had room only and coco's was next to the hotel so convenient for breakfast and dinner. Room had fridge air conditioning and coffee maker. We had mission suite which was perfect for our family. There was a separate room with a day bed that was suitable for an adult and a tv. Sofa bed in living room would only be suitable for children. We could see disney fireworks at night. Laundrette on site (didn't use it) swimming pool was lovely but didn't get to use it, beauty salon and small shop on site About 15 min walk to disney walking round the perimeter of the park passing lots of restaurants and grocery stores. I will return again and I have already recommended this hotel to another family member.

Room Tip: Rooms are on 2 floors and hotel is motel type with rooms outside

Dear Wendy22allen,

Thank you for writing a review about our hotel on Trip Advisor. The Anabella Hotel also has a 24 hour Fitness Room and our Jacuzzi closes at 10:00 pm nightly. We are delighted to hear that your room was accommodating for you and your family. We do have about 14 different room types on property. When you return I suggest that you see what other room types are available which could best accommodate your family. From some of our rooms you can even get a glimpse of the fireworks.

We hope to serve you again in future travels. Thank you once again for choosing the Anabella Hotel.

Kind Regards,
Brandon Jemison

There were many reviews on line, all mixed.

I made reservations thru JetBlue getaways package, in July or August. The price was slightly cheeper. Than the conference recommended hotel but not enough to make the decision to stay there.
The hotel is within walking distance of the Anaheim Convention center, but the Mariott was actually much closer. The convention center is a large campus including an arena so the map is deceiving.

1) hotel lobby, very clean and welcoming. The bell hops and front desk are very helpful. The shuttle from the airport dropped us off and after a quick check in, the bell hop drove us to our room in the 10th building and the only 3 story, of course we had a 3rd floor. We rode in a 3 row golf gart. The bell hop insisted we not carry any luggage up.

When the first room had a leaky toilet. He made immediate call to the front desk and had our room changed and opened the new room with a master key and while we ate dinner at The Tangerine (hotel resturant) he obtained new keys for us.

The room was clean white plantation wood shutters. They have an energy conservation plan to use a/c to cool not fan you put your key card in a slot and make sure it is on cool. Works very quickly as long as you make sure it is on cool, not just fan. It runs with out key card but just on fan.

The room was clean refurbished , yes the mirror had silver loss so was not replaced, and tub was not replaced but everything else was.
The sheets and towels were changed daily.
The room had 2 double beds very small refrigerator, iron/ironing board and hair dryer, and a safe that held our iPad and kindle and small laptop.

The hotel is in obvious rehab but our 7day stay was pleasant. And comfortable.

There was a workout room(iam told). 2 pools family and a 18 or over. The adult pool was near Katella and noisy but very comfortable and had bar access.

The resturant and bar served very good food prices were mid to upper price zone.

From our room we had a window view of the Disneyland fireworks. They were prettier from the park.

The bell hops were very helpful on calling cabs and giving information.

The other restaurants Tiffys and CoCos were nxt door family friendly and cheeper.

Anaheim transport system the Orange County RTA, and the Anaheim resort shuttle made getting aroun the city and Orange County very easy

The hotel charges $15 a day for parking so we rented a car once to go to places that woul take more than an hou/hour and a half bus ride. both systems were 5dollars for a day pass and a senior day pass was over half off.

Yes the rooms have a open enterance motel style. As some one who has stayed in several California hotels and live short term in Northern California I concidered it more California Style.

This hotel was really good the concierge was so helpful and all the staff were so nice. The hotel itself is quite old - the decor is older but it's still nice and a place to sleep the location isn't too bad either it's a little further away from disney land than the other hotels but the walk is fine :)

This was the 3rd time we've stayed at this Hotel. It's about ¾ mile from the Disneyland main entrance. It's a little further away than some of the east side hotels, but it's a nice walk, with no crowds and a lot of it is through the Grand Californian and Downtown Disney District.
This is an older hotel that has been very nicely remodeled. We had a suite with and extra bedroom. This easily accommodated the 4 of us. (2 adults and 2 kids) The staff is always very friendly and I have never had trouble finding a parking space. Noise was not an issue. Flat screen TV with plenty of channels and free wifi. Great hotel at a great price, they always seem to have some good specials.

My new wife recently stayed at the Anabella for the purposes of getting married and then celebrating at Disneyland. Our plans were to have a small informal wedding in the garden at the hotel. Unfortunately, "Mother Nature" intervened and we needed to find an indoor venue quickly. The Hotel Staff jumped into action, even at the last minute, and found us a quiet and private location to perform our wedding ceremony. They were awesome...and made us feel very special.

Room Tip: We stayed in the refurbished portion of the hotel which was very nice.

I travel a lot for work and stayed many hotels and for this place to call itself a "hotel" is a disgrace!! Check in was late, room was dirty, staff was rude. I wished I listen to the pass reviewers on this site to stay away!!!
