The Candy Cane Inn was a sea of tranquillity beside the happy madness of Disneyland. The location was great. Being adjacent to California Adventure makes for an easy walk to the front gate of Disneyland, if you miss the free shuttle bus. The room was quiet, well kept, and large with a big bathroom. The rooms are situated in a horseshoe shape around a long courtyard with lots of off-street parking, swimming pool, hot tub, and patio area. The complimentary breakfast has a good variety of items and great coffee. All staff members we met were helpful and professional. We had two carefree nights (3/5 & 3/6/06) and enjoyed the facility very much.

We just returned from a 4 night stay at the Candy Cane. We loved it and will return. The regular rooms are a bit small, and lack for storage space. But, we didnt go there for space and storage! We picked the motel based on location, beautiful well kept grounds, a comfortable bed, shuttle to Disneyland and breakfast. It did not fail in any of those areas!

I stayed at the Candy CanE Inn feb 18- 21 and loved it. It was with my hubby, autistic daughter age 7 and my MOther In Law. Checkin was simple and quick. The front desk directed us to where the 7 11 was and another quickie store. The rooms were pleasant and beds super comfortable.

We were there during cheerleader days, but had no problem other than sitting and eating breakfast, no biggie, we carried the food with the trays from our rooms. the selection of food was nice, cereal, toast, bagels, fruit.... It was a nice way to start the morning with no expense!

The first couple of days we walked to Disney (about 10 minutes). We took this walk 3x a day.. It was great! After the first coup[le of times we took the free shuttle home and had no problems at all, comfortable sitting and timeliness!

My daughter loved the pool... it was heated... but it was chilly outside so I didn't brave it!

Two problems... not enough washing machines.. I believe there was 2 or 3 machines, should've been more for so many rooms. And I wish they had a microwave.
Be prepared, prices are high in anaheim! IHOP at dinnertime (breakfast food.. pancakes... ) ran us $50 for the 4 of us, and our daughtrer was free! Coffee runs about 3 and change a cup!

The fridge was great, I enjoyed having that. The front desk was extremely helpful in getting our boarding passes printed, and giving us directions to the airport... We definitely would stay again!

Checked in Friday afternoon and went right to the park. When we came back to the hotel from the park on Friday evening, we noticed the sheets on one of the beds had not been changed from the previous occupant. Since it was late, we used one bed (the clean one), and the next morning we called the front desk for the staff to change the sheets. By Saturday afternoon, the sheets still had not been changed, so we called the front desk again. When we got back from the park at 10 pm, Saturday evening, the sheets still had not been changed. We called the front desk and they sent two men up to change the sheets. Housekeeping doesn't speak English, so it was difficult to communicate with them. Front desk obviously didn't relay the message to have the sheets changed.

We stayed at the Candy Cane Inn before and after visiting Disneyland. I really don't know where to start so let me start with our checking in. James Schaap at the front Desk was so nice and very helpful. He gave us suggestions on where to eat and when would be the best time to go to the park (Disneyland). We had 3 kids with us all different ages. The grounds around the hotel were just so lovely. I could feel how relaxed I was becoming with all the beautiful flowers around. Oh how we slept. It was very quiet and the beds were so very comfortable. My family will always stay at the Candy Cane Inn when visiting Anahiem.
Thanks so much Candy Cane and James Schaap

i read a few recent reviews and expected this place to be more welcoming and customer service oriented. The problems are as follows, noisy enviroment, small rooms, poor service and responde. i found a few hairs in the restrooms and when i asked if they can reclean, i was answered very rudely that the restroom had already been clean. I asked if i could be changed rooms instead i was told we would get back to you, they never did. For what this hotel charges i would have expected a little more but it is conviniently close to disneyland. next time ill rent a car and stay a little further from all the noise and from this hotel. lcation cant bebeat customer service and cleanliness needs some serious improvements.

My Wife and two daughters age 12 and 8 stayed at the Inn. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The Inn is only a short 10 min walk to Disneyland and California Adventure Land. We enjoyed the breakfast offered. The bagels and fresh fruit were a great starter and even a good snack to take for later in the day.

The shuttle service was great after a long day walking at the parks.
Do take advantage of the ABC store next door for water etc. It's the cheapest you'll find. Also, the Subway Restaurant across the street is a great way to save money and fill up on good healthy food.

Oh and one important note for you coffee lovers; there is a shop down the right side of main street that sells great coffee and treats. Save your receipt and you can get free refills all day long. You don't even need to save your cup.

All in all, we had a fantastic first family trip to Disneyland. We are already looking forward to next year.
