“Lovely hotel and friendly staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 November 2009

We stayed in this hotel recently and the staff were very helpful. after a long flight from Australia we were very tired with the time difference. and the staff got our room ready as soon as they could while storing our luggage. the Hotel was clean and the room was too. it was quiet and everything worked perfectly and they had a huge pool and hot tub. the restaurant was absolutely great for all meals there and we had quite a few over the 4 days. the staff in the restaurant were great too and gave us great tips on where to go and how to get there. would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights at the start of October.
Arrived Saturday afternoon, and check-in was prompt and courteous, we had a room on the third floor, which seemed fine at first, then my wife walked round near the a/c unit and discovered that the carpet was soaking wet.
We notified front desk who immediately offered us a different room, or we could stay there and they would send someone up.
As we were pleased with the room, we said we'd stay there and see if it could be rectified. An engineer turned up within 5 minutes and attempted to dry the carpet, but it became apparent that it would take a long time, so we opted for a different room.
The new room was on the same floor and was just as clean.
As other people have commented, if you're walking to the parks or anywhere else, the hotel is a bit isolated, especially the first 200 yards or so.
I'd say it was a 30 minute walk to Disneyland, so a bit of a struggle if you had young children. Although there is the shuttle if you don't have a car.
Can't comment about the restaurant, as didn't eat there, but it seemed quite busy.
Pool area was ok.
Cannot fault any of the staff, and they reacted to our problem without any hesitation.
Overall very pleased.

This hotel is quite simply the best hotel i've ever stayed in. 2 of us stayed in September this year for the second time.  The staff are unbelievably frieindly and so polite.  Rooms are cleaned everday and maintained to a very high standard.  Shuttle bus is only $4 which takes you to the disney theme parks.  Restaurant is reasonably priced with a good choice of food.  I just can't wait to come back next year!!

I stayed at the holiday inn on south manchester little over a week ago and it was fantastic. I will admitt it isnt close to disneyland for example accross the road but every 20 minutes from the hotel there is a shuttle that takes you straight to disneyland for adults from memory was $4.00 for the hop on and off all day but it is only for one day but if you have a 3 day hopper pass at disneyland you can puchase a 3 day bus ticket from around about $16 I think (dont quote).
Not only is it in close range to Disneyland but it is close to the block shopping centre which is a great place for bargains and also close to garden walk, angel stadium and... the cheesecake factory (best resturant ever).
I have nothing bad to say about this hotel all the staff is friendly they have there own resturant, gift shop and in that gift shop a microwave and a mini super market.
Overall GREAT!!!!!!!

Stayed here for one night with my husband and toddler and it was convenient because there was a restaurant right downstairs. The restaurant food was pretty good-sizable portions at a reasonable price. Service was a bit slow because they seemed to be understaffed. The hotel isn't super close to Disney but if you have a car it's a quick ride. The was clean and comfy and basic. We didn't get to use the pool or check out any of the amenities due to the short stay. No complaints here.

Stayed at this hotel with my wife. Hotel is a bit isolated but staff are friendly and rooms are clean. Only problem was with the pay to use computer in the lobby (the one nearest the window) it took my dollars gave a couple of blinks and returned to the home screen. I told the desk clerk but he said he was unable to give a refund and that he would place an out of order sign on it but he never did, so beware. Other than that no problems with the hotel.

We stayed here for a Disneyland trip. My husband and I are runners so walking the distance wasn't an issue. It is a good 25 minute walk though, pretty far even for us since you are on your feet all day at Disney too. It is not a reasonable walk with kids. We took the shuttle once and it was easy and ran right on-time but it takes almost as long as walking given all the stops.

Rooms were comfy and clean. Pool was really big and not too crowded. AC was LOUD though, I agree with the other reviewers. Free parking was nice too. Overall, I would probably stay somewhere closer to the park in the future but the hotel itself is perfectly fine, very clean, and a great deal for the price.

No comment on food, we ate at the park.
