Beautiful hotel, great distance from
Disney so you don't have to be suffocated by it. On the route for Disney shuttles a few dollars a day.
Warm cookies and beer served during early evening. Great continental breakfast in mornings! The chef is very flexible and skilled.

Our family had planned a trip to Disneyland, and based on the reviews here, we decided to stay at the Ayres. It was quite nice. The front-desk people were extremely helpful and friendly, and our room on the fourth floor was nice. (Calling it a "king suite" might have been a bit of an exaggeration though, as it consisted of one room plus the bathroom....) The Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) bus stops at the hotel once every half hour, and goes to Disneyland, making a single stop along the way---$5/person/day but for unlimited rides. This allowed us to come back and collapse at the hotel around dinner time, then return for even more fun and the fireworks. The breakfast was quite amazing, with a cook dishing up scrambled eggs, french toast, pancakes, etc, etc., etc---and for us older folks they even had non-fat milk for the cereals. The only slight negative (and it IS slight) is that the "guest laundry" required $2 for the washer and $2 for the dryer. When I used the one on the 3rd floor it took my money but didn't do anything. When I went down to tell the desk clerk, he said he already knew it wasn't working. He took my room number, and I naively thought I'd be credited with the $2 I lost, but this got overlooked. Oh, well---as I said, a very minor issue. I'll add that the clerks were extremely helpful and friendly, and that I would certainly stay there again. It was a good solution for us.

Room Tip: We were on the 4th floor and found it nice and quiet.

This hotel was actually our fifth and the last on our three week vacation. It is a very nice and clean hotel. Breakfast was very good as well. The only thing that personally was not "my cup of tea" was the old style look of the hotel. I like more of a retro look, and this was at the opposite spectrum. If you like that type of decor, you will love this place.

We booked this hotel by chance because of its location for a family visit. It is conveniently located within easy walking distance to Anaheim Stadium and close to Disneyland and other tourist areas in Orange County. We were pleased with all aspects of the hotel -- very clean rooms, friendly staff, good hot breakfast (although I agree with other review that the drink area could be located farther from the food service to relieve congestion). Although close to the freeway, we did not notice any noise at all. Also, the beds were very comfortable--we slept in until 8:30 which is very unusual for us. We will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to our friends.

We came to visit Disneyland for 4 nights and booked this hotel from the great reviews on TripAdvisor and this hotel did not disappoint!!!!
At check in we were met with smiles and wonderful customer service. The hotel is immaculately cleaned and the rooms were spacious.
The hot breakfast every morning was delicious and a great budget saver.
While the hotel is further away from Disney, the ART bus stops right in the hotel driveway for pick up every half hour and passes can be purchased at the front desk for a cheap price.

Thank you Ayres for a great stay! We will recommend this hotel to all!

We experienced a wonderful time here getting shuttled to Disneyland roundtrip (as many times as needed) for a small fee. Breakfast was very good; I would suggest more serving help to the management and better placed drink service as everything is in one corner making it very congested. Other than that we loved our stay; great front desk service!

Room Tip: On the 4th floor in some rooms you can view the Angels game; the stadium is very close; also you are...
